Imagine if a Hebrew, Israeli, Jewish child, who was only two years old, was shot by a Palestinian Arab, whether Muslim, Christian or Druze, as the Israeli soldier did by shooting live bullets in the head of the two-year-old Muhammad Haitham al-Tamimi from the village of Nabi Saleh.

Yes, he was shot in the head while he was inside his father's car, who was also wounded by a bullet that put him in the hospital.

Two years old, the child, Muhammad al-Tamimi, was targeted by a sniper with a rifle with a scope, according to reports, and therefore one of the possibilities applies to him:

First, it aims to kill the child and his father, so that his family and the people of his village may feel fear and rush to leave. By doing so, he has achieved a strategic goal for the colony by “dispossessing” the Palestinians and their departure on the grounds of preserving their lives, and not on their land, country, and homeland.

Secondly, because he is a racist hater who looks at the Palestinians with hatred, hostility, racism, and in a fascist way, because the child and his family do not deserve life. A target for education and training, by shooting and injuring him, as he is devoid of any rights. It is not excluded that the killer sniper will receive the reward for his criminal act against the Arab without bringing him to any accountability, as happened with the killer of journalist Sherine Abu Aqleh, who remained unidentified.

Third, he is insane, insane, devoid of reason and balance, and acts without the slightest responsibility as long as the victim is a Palestinian Arab, and not an Israeli Jew.

The killing of a Palestinian has become normal at the hands of the colony’s soldiers, tools and rules. The instructions from their official military security leaders say that if you feel danger, just a feeling is for you to act and kill without any introduction, and without any prior warning, and this explains the continuation of the daily killings of Palestinians by the army. colony and occupation settlers.

The Palestinian people pay a heavy price for their steadfastness on their land, where there are many means and circumstances of liquidation, and the result is one: killing and death, at the hands of the Israelis. Really for how long??.

They show solidarity and support for the people of Ukraine, and they show a lack of interest towards the people of Palestine. Isn't that a form of complicity with the Israeli criminal??.

On the anniversary of al-Hakim's departure, I am reminded of a saying by which he defined himself (I am a Marxist, leftist in culture, and the Islamic heritage is an integral part of my intellectual and psychological structure. I am concerned with Islam as much as any Islamic political movement cares. Arab nationalism is also an integral component of my components... I am in a state of harmony With my nationalism, my Christianity, my Islamic culture, and my progressive Marxism).

From the beginnings, he linked the Palestinian fate to the Arab destiny, the national struggle to the national struggle. The issue of Palestine is an Arab issue and the essence of the Arab conflict, and there is no solution to the Palestinian issue except within the framework of an Arab solution, and there is no victory for the cause without an Arab victory. His disagreement or intersection with the nationalist and communist parties stemmed from this angle.

In his message to the "inside", in the mid-1980s, he borrowed Arab symbols, "We have to be the bearers of a message like Muhammad and Jesus, and have the courage of Khaled and the justice of Omar." But after the collapse of the Soviet regime in the late eighties and the disintegration of the state alloy, he wrote, "I am affected by the collapse less than anyone else." I know that capitalism is not eternal and that humanity dreams and seeks justice.”

In the global stage, when class polarization worsened and the monopoly of the minority became widespread while the majority became poorer and oppressed, there is no solution to the contradiction in capitalism between the development of the productive forces and the stagnation of production relations, except by transcending the socio-economic formation, as history does not stop and has no end.

Accordingly, the national pillar and the ideological pillar are two fundamental pillars and analysis tools in the intellectual-political structure of the wise man, and he is guided by them and is never separated from them. He intensified this with a famous saying, "Neither tactics should violate strategy nor politics should violate ideology."

The question of nationalism and the question of Marxism may seem complex and contradictory, but whoever follows al-Hakim and his political practice discovers a solution and a remedy.

Obviously, the question of nationalism and Marxism is great and ambiguous, and delving into the legacy of al-Hakim and Praxis al-Hakim is also a complex issue. Al-Hakim bequeathed to us a process that has not yet been researched, despite what dozens of Arab intellectuals wrote about him. The condition of research work is that his legacy, consisting of thousands of pages, be compiled and published. “I collected 95% of it,” as he put it. And such a huge file of a thinker, theoretician and political leader at the same time, should not be kept on the shelves or allowed to expire in time, as it transcends in its importance the limits of Palestinian factionalism to research centers, students and the Arab revolution movement in general, and whoever knows about Al-Hakim’s global connections knows that his importance is not limited In the Arab region as well.

And in the haste imposed by the logic of the question and the space of the place, I will give an answer, perhaps it will cover enough of the question’s eloquence and ambiguity, with what it requires of dismantling and recombination, noting that the vast areas of the wise’s vision were linked and generated by political practice, which gives them privacy and strength in what liberates them. Of "kalalogia" and "academia" without academics, bearing in mind that al-Hakim has been persevering for six decades in meeting and dialogue with the most prominent Arab thinkers and intellectuals with his listening characteristic, as he is "perfect at listening to you, as if he wants to know more from you than you want to know." You know from him, it is the humility of adults who listen to the changing rhythm of time. Darwish, who moved from a university professor after his average as a student was 96% to a doctor and a professional revolutionary, so he collected the cultural and political early, which prompted him to assign an intellectual, Dr. "He gets to know Kanafani, Bilal Al-Hassan, Fadl, Essam Al-Naqeeb, and Ahmed Khalifa" since that period.... Just as it was not surprising that he harmonized with Dr. Wadih Haddad, with his exceptional merits, and the trade unionist-intellectual Ahmed Al-Yamani, with his class sense mixed with the popular bottom.

The Nakba - the ethnic cleansing of 1948, as a historical tragedy whose chapters continue to this day, was the turning point that decided the personality of al-Hakim, who spent his life to defeat this Nakba and defeat its effects. Since then, he concluded that "Arab backwardness and the Arab experience are the reason..." and thus "the traditional and feudal systems fell" without dropping his dream, which he clung to and did not budge from, "the liberation of Palestine, every inch" as a steadfast national and national position, rejecting the 1947 partition decision that grants the Jewish Yishuv 56 % While the Jews had only 5.6% of the land and a resistance "was what resulted from the Nakba of 1948.... At the time he praised the national role of Haj Amin al-Husseini, he paved the way for building a new political-cultural-social movement.

National stations in the wise thought and practice

The beginning was the establishment of the Arab Nationalist Movement, which began its precursors in the early fifties of the last century, and acquired this name officially in 1956, as indicated in the book “Revolutionaries Never Die,” and it spread to most Arab countries.

It is true that al-Hakim relied on the productions of Sati’ al-Husari and Constantine Zureik, and with his early companions he studied Arab history and religions…..but he emphasized that “nationalism is an affiliation that stems from geography, history, common interests, and culture.” It is not interjected or imagined, it is a process and a process at the same time and is differentiated over other nationalities.

He expressed his early admiration for the Nasserite "revolution" and its achievements. Indeed, the nationalists joined the Egyptian-Syrian unity government in 1958. Al-Hakim's meetings with Abdel Nasser indicate that Al-Hakim criticized the absence of democracy, and that this absence is a major factor in the disintegration of the unity contract and the environment from which the enemies of unity benefited. ... "Since the masses can only be mobilized through democracy.... Freedom and democracy are the conditions for marching towards unity, development and development, investing the nation's potential and confronting national enemies."

The branch of the Arab nationalists in Yemen led the liberation struggle against the British occupier and wrested independence for South Yemen. While their branch in the Dhofar region fought fierce fighting.

Without underestimating the role of the movement in spreading enlightenment and renaissance culture that is biased towards science, reason, citizenship, and the pluralistic and electoral democratic demand... along with adopting national policies hostile to colonialism and the enemy camp, and showing the interdependence between its circles.

As for the defeat of June 1967, al-Hakim considered it a "defeat of the regimes and their programs" and did not detract from the ability of the Arab nation to rise and win.... Therefore, he greatly cheered the canonical uprising of 1987 as a popular initiative that put the occupation in a state of defense, and he would suddenly repeat in his speeches or while eating a meal "Nothing is louder than the voice of the uprising," and the same thing was in the victory of the Lebanese resistance in 2000 and 2006... Certainly, he could have seen the victory of the Tunisian uprising armies today as a credibility for his trust in the people and his bet on the nation.

Even when the Syrian judiciary sentenced him to death in the early sixties and arrested him in 1968 by the head of intelligence, Al-Junaidi, who went to meet him in the hope that he would obtain facilities for the resistance activity, only to find himself in solitary confinement for eight months until the martyr Wadih Haddad liberated him in a smart operation without bloodshed... He disagreed with Abdel Nasser over the Rogers project of 1970, the eradication of the Palestinian gun from Jordan, and his role with other resistance factions in revolutionizing and supporting the Lebanese national movement that took control of 82% of the country in 1976 before being massacred... and Camp David 1978 and Oslo 1993.

Al-Hakim carefully and closely examined the class-economic-political-cultural transformations that took place in Egypt in the seventies and led to Camp David, and showed the implications of that for the Arab nation and the Palestinian cause, and the resulting detachment of Egypt from the front of the conflict, and... and did not His confidence in Arab nationalism is shaking.

As for al-Hakim's disagreement with President Saddam's policies, it did not prevent him from taking risks and traveling from Damascus to Baghdad amid the beating of the drums of war, knowing that he might be prevented from returning to Syria, but President al-Assad said, "This is an honest nationalist man, even if we disagree with him," and he assured President al-Assad, "I Arab, and I have the right to reside in Syria.” Hence his participation in many popular Arab conferences that included all colors of the political and intellectual spectrum.

Al-Hakim is a national story. And his story starts from the ground of the first national cause (the Palestinian cause) to which he devoted his life, in every sense of the word, making history and participating in its struggles, struggles and battles, with the political and military massacres that the revolution was subjected to, and (his clear intellectual and moral structure was very tight and coherent). And stubbornness) M. Darwish... He did not hesitate in the fateful cohesion with his brother Abu Ammar in the Great Battle of Beirut in 1982 and the strategic dispute with him over the Oslo option and his refusal to return "under the banner of Oslo, without the return of millions of refugees" and his persistent confrontation of right-wing tendencies that violate historical and national rights.

Whether the activity of the Arab Nationalist Movement, which he led as a first man, or the establishment of the Popular Front and its leadership as a first man as well, when it was a second force filling the world with its presence, the goal was “the liberation of Palestine and the return of the people of the country to their homeland.” The front is a ramified march, and it deserves, like other major factions, to conduct research studies about it, and on the way is a book of mine related to the matter.

It added that parts of the Dnipropetrovsk region in the center of the country and Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions in the south would face a water shortage due to the accident at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.

The destruction of the dam at the station caused a decrease in the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir and severe flooding in the surrounding areas.

According to the group operating Ukrainian nuclear power plants ((Energoatum)), the destruction of the dam may negatively affect Ukraine's Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

Russia and Ukraine traded accusations over the attack on the hydroelectric power station.

A European Palestinian warning against the implementation of a settlement project in Jerusalem

Palestinian and European officials warned today (Wednesday) of Israel's implementation of a massive settlement project in eastern Jerusalem that would eliminate the option of the internationally recognized two-state solution.

The Hebrew public radio said that a major settlement planning committee will meet next week to discuss the controversial "E1" project in East Jerusalem.

The radio reported yesterday (Tuesday) that the settlement movement and right-wing religious parties are seeking, through the implementation of the project, to build about 3,400 homes in a new neighborhood of the Ma'aleh Adumim settlement.

The radio indicated that two hearings will be held next Monday on the project to deal with objections to the planned settlement expansion with representatives of local Palestinian municipal authorities as well as Israeli non-governmental organizations.

Amal Jadu, Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told reporters in Ramallah that the project poses a great danger as it destroys the possibility of a two-state solution, which is the solution adopted by the international community as a solution to the Palestinian cause.

Jado added that the European Union, the US administration and the international community put pressure on Israel not to implement the project when it was developed under the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

It warned that the implementation of the project would completely eliminate the possibility of communication between the north and south of the West Bank, would cut it in the middle, and close the possibility of establishing a contiguous Palestinian state geographically.

Jado indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is communicating directly with the partners in the European Union, and letters will be sent to the foreign ministers of the countries of the world, in addition to the issuance of directives to Palestinian ambassadors all over the world to strengthen the positions of countries that reject the project that undermines the two-state solution.

The Palestinian official called for the implementation of United Nations resolutions on Palestine as applied in other conflicts taking place in the world, noting that there is a "significant slowdown" when it comes to the issue of the State of Israel.

In turn, the Deputy Secretary of the Central Committee of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), Sabri Saidam, considered that the field conditions are likely for further field escalation in light of the Israeli project aimed at separating the West Bank.

Saidam told the official Voice of Palestine radio that matters are "probable for further escalation on the ground in light of the project aimed at separating the West Bank into two halves and ending the Palestinian state."

He added that "every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and as long as Israel continues its policy of repression, it will not enjoy security, as there will be more Palestinian popular resistance towards their policies."

Saidam continued, "The Israeli occupation will be convinced that the Palestinian people is not a project of liquidation, but rather a project of survival," accusing the "silent" countries of being partners in the sustainability of the occupation and colonial liquidation.

The settlement file is the most prominent aspect of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and one of the main reasons for the suspension of the last peace negotiations between the two sides before mid-2014.

Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, advisor to the Palestinian Presidency for Jerusalem Affairs, considered that the demolition of Palestinian homes and settlements in the city of Jerusalem are two sides of the same coin, calling on the International Criminal Court to intervene and take action to stop the Israeli practices and "illegal crimes."

Al-Ruwaidi said in a statement, "The Israeli occupation wants from the policy of demolition to expel the people of Jerusalem and change the demographic situation and make the Palestinians a minority that does not exceed 20% compared to the Israelis, which seeks to increase their percentage to 80%."

He added, "The occupation uses a policy of demolition to expel people from their homes, and that approximately 22,000 homes are threatened with demolition in Jerusalem," noting that the Israeli authorities demolish 30 facilities per month, especially in the old area of the city.

Al-Ruwaidi added, "The Israeli government's mentality continues with its policy of demolition and settlement and does not heed any international pressure," pointing out that the criminal court has begun "to lose its credibility as it is silent on any issue related to the occupied Palestinian territories."

The media official at the European Union Mission in Jerusalem and Ramallah, Shadi Othman, told reporters in the city of Ramallah that the project constituted a strategic threat along the Palestinian territories and the possibility of implementing the two-state solution.

Othman said that the region is vital and has dangerous dimensions on all the political situation and what is happening on the ground, and if the project is implemented, it will divide the West Bank into two halves, indicating that the European Union follows up the matter in a precise, direct and almost daily manner.

Othman added that the settlements are "illegal under international law and resolutions of international legitimacy," noting that these practices must stop.

He explained that the European Union is implementing projects in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, especially areas classified as "C", as they support the Palestinian people in their presence on the land and confront this settlement policy.

The Palestinians want to declare the eastern part of Jerusalem the capital of their future state, while Israel insists that Jerusalem, which annexed the eastern part of it in 1967, be unified and its capital.

Al-Aloul clarifies about the statements attributed to him about the decline in the popularity of "Fatah" and the succession of President Abbas

Mahmoud Al-Aloul, deputy head of the Fatah movement, warned today, Wednesday, of the decline in the popularity of the Fatah movement headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, due to its failure to fulfill the promises it made to the Palestinians.

"I can acknowledge the decline in Fatah's presence among the masses," Al-Aloul told reporters in the city of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.

He added, "Fatah adopted peace options and promised them to the people, but was unable to achieve them... (This was) a major reason for its decline in popularity."

Al-Aloul (72 years) is one of the senior Palestinian leaders and one of the most important expected candidates to succeed the current President Abbas (87 years), especially since he is close to the president and could temporarily fill the void.

Al-Aloul's statements are considered a rare recognition by a senior official in the Fatah movement, which has been in control of the West Bank since the Israeli and Palestinian sides signed the Oslo peace agreement in 1993.

Abbas canceled the presidential and legislative elections that were scheduled for 2021, citing Israel's refusal to allow Palestinians to vote in East Jerusalem, which it has occupied since 1967.

Opinion polls indicated the progress of the Islamic Hamas movement, and it was likely that it would win the elections, if they took place.
An opinion poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research showed that only 35 percent of the Palestinians would vote for Fatah if legislative elections were held today.

In the last elections held by the Palestinians in 1996, during the presidency of the late President Yasser Arafat, Fatah obtained 89 percent of the votes.

Regarding questions about who will succeed Abbas, Al-Aloul ruled out that he would be the one to succeed him, and said, "We will look for someone from the younger generation."

On the possibility of the dismissed members of Fatah returning to the movement, Al-Aloul said, "I think this matter is behind us."

In 2011, President Abbas expelled the head of the General Intelligence, Muhammad Dahlan, from the movement, accusing him of complicity in the death of former leader Arafat.

Likewise, Abbas dismissed the leader, Nasser Al-Qudwa, a veteran diplomat who had previously held the foreign ministry portfolio.

Al-Qudwa was dismissed from the movement founded by his uncle, Yasser Arafat, in 1965, after he announced his candidacy on a list competing with Abbas's list in the legislative elections that were scheduled for May 2021.

The number of Palestinians in the West Bank is about 3 million.

Approximately 490,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank in settlements that international law considers illegal.

Al-Aloul's office confirmed that the statements published by the media this evening were taken out in an incorrect context, especially with regard to talking about the successor to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and some issues related to the Fatah movement.

Shtayyeh: The occupation deprives our people of their most basic rights

Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said, "We are facing Israeli aggression and continuous war in various forms, against our people, our land, our water, our money, our narrative, and our Islamic and Christian sanctities, and that the Israeli occupation deprives our people of their most basic rights, as it places restrictions on movement with military checkpoints and walls, and denies us our right to elections and seizing our lands, demolishing homes and displacing their inhabitants.”

This came during his meeting with the European Union's Special Representative for Human Rights, Eamonn Gilmour, today, Wednesday, in his office in Ramallah, in the presence of the European Union's representative to Palestine, Sven Kon von Burgsdorff.

Shtayyeh asked: "How long will the international silence continue towards what is happening here in Palestine in terms of violations and measures of the occupation?", calling for an end to the international double standards regarding our cause, and holding Israel accountable for its crimes against our people.

He continued, "Since the beginning of the year, more than 160 martyrs, including 28 children and 6 women, have died at the hands of the occupation forces and settlers, and Israel continues to detain hundreds of martyrs in refrigerators and graves of numbers."

Shtayyeh pointed out that since 1967, Israel has uprooted 2.5 million trees from our lands, including 800 thousand olive trees, and there are now 751 thousand settlers in the West Bank, and the occupation government wants to raise their number to about one million settlers at the expense of our land, water and the lives of our children.

The senator, who demanded that those responsible for the killing of Sherine be punished from day one, revealed that: “Based on the information previously provided to me by the State Department, the Security Council and its team were not allowed access to key witnesses, and therefore they were unable to conduct an independent investigation into the shooting death of Sherine Abu Aqleh. As such, this summary report does not and cannot shed new light on the state of mind of the individual responsible for firing the fatal shot.

The senator, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and other US Senate committees, adds: “However, the report provides very important insights into the circumstances that led to the death of Shireen Abu Aqleh, including relevant information and findings about the conduct of the IDF unit involved in that operation.” In addition to other IDF units operating in the West Bank," noting that "in the aftermath of the killing of Shirin Abu Aqleh, Minister Blinken asked the Government of Israel to review the IDF's rules of engagement in the West Bank, but it was refused - and this review is still necessary." .

"Following my review of the USSC report (General Wenzel), I urge the administration to immediately declassify it in its entirety," Van Hollen said, asking US President Joe Biden's administration to declassify the report. "I firmly believe that a public release of the report is vital to ensuring transparency and accountability." In the shooting death of American citizen and journalist Shereen Abu Aqleh and in avoiding avoidable wrongful deaths in the future – goals we must all support.”

It is noteworthy that Senator Van Hollen demanded the declassification of the summary report prepared by the US security coordinator between the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli occupation authorities since the announcement of the preparation of the summary report at the beginning of last May.

In an argument with Barbara Leaf, US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs last Wednesday (31/5/23), Van Hollen stressed, “As you probably know, I have been trying for weeks now to get the updated and summarized report prepared by General Wenzel. [the American security coordinator] regarding the shooting death of Sherine Abu Aqleh (American-Palestinian journalist)," stressing that his patience was running out.

An Israeli report reveals the targets of the ongoing incursions on the borders of the Gaza Strip

Last night, the Hebrew Channel 12 published a video report from the borders of the Gaza Strip, of the incursions carried out by engineering and military vehicles at the border strip inside the Strip.

An Israeli force accompanied the military correspondent of the channel, "Nir Dvori", in an incursion of hundreds of meters into the borders of the Gaza Strip, near the new security obstacle.

A company officer who led the incursion said that these operations are carried out continuously in order to uncover any tunnels that have reached the perimeter of the wall with the aim of using them from Hamas in any confrontation, as well as to detect explosive devices, and mow the agricultural grass that appears in the area to keep it open and exposed to the monitoring and control of the forces. Israeli.

According to the officer, these operations are carried out on a weekly basis in different areas of the border wall.

The report indicated that activists from the "Hamas" movement were standing near the borders and following through the land and through observatories placed on the borders to monitor and follow all the movements of the Israeli army.

The officer said that they are constantly getting acquainted with Hamas activists who monitor the area, pointing out that they are not attacked unless they are attacked.

“Accused of sexual assault.” The Israeli ambassador to Morocco will soon return to Rabat

Israeli Ambassador David Govrin will return to his post at the head of the liaison office in Morocco next month, after he was summoned to his country for interrogation on charges of "sexual assaults" and "embezzlement of funds," an Israeli diplomat announced Tuesday.

"It was decided yesterday that Ambassador Kufrin will return here next month to continue his mission," said the ambassador, who temporarily succeeded him at the head of the office, Shai Cohen, at a press conference in Sale, which is adjacent to the capital, Rabat, without further details.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry had summoned Govrin in September on charges of exploiting women, sexually harassing them, and committing crimes against decency, accusations he denied in a letter prepared by his lawyer, which was seen by Agence France-Presse at the time.

Since then, Cohen has temporarily succeeded him at the head of the Israeli liaison office in Rabat.

This office was opened in early 2021 after the two countries resumed their diplomatic relations, within the framework of a tripartite agreement that also included the United States' recognition of Rabat's sovereignty over Western Sahara, which is disputed with the Polisario Front.

In the press conference he held on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Jewish state, Cohen praised the "profound" development in the relations of the two countries on the various economic, tourism and military levels.

The Israeli diplomat expressed his hope that the two countries would soon reach an agreement for free trade.

In return, Rabat is waiting for the Hebrew state to recognize its sovereignty over Western Sahara, according to what Moroccan media have reported in recent days.

In this regard, Cohen said, "There are negotiations between the foreign ministries of the two countries to consider how progress can be made regarding this issue," adding that "a final decision will be formulated by the two ministries."

After the visit to the kingdom by Israeli Minister of Transport Miri Regev last week, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana is expected to arrive in Rabat on Wednesday on a "historic" official visit.

This will be the first official visit by a speaker of the Israeli parliament at the invitation of his Moroccan counterpart, Rachid Talbi Elmi, who will meet him on Thursday morning.

This dynamic in the relations of the two countries comes after it was recently clouded by the rise of extreme right-wing currents to power in Israel and the daily violence in the occupied territories.

Morocco "strongly" condemned in early April the Israeli forces' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque's courtyard, following violent clashes between Palestinian worshipers and the Israeli police.

Rabat regularly affirms its commitment to the Palestinian cause, which still enjoys broad popular support in the Kingdom.

A new storm in "Israel" due to "judicial reforms"

The crisis of "judicial reforms" led by Benjamin Netanyahu's government continues to stir up crises inside and outside "Israel".

Last night, US Vice President Kamala Harris touched on the issue during her speech at a ceremony held in Washington, marking the anniversary of "Israel's independence" (the Palestinian Nakba), when she said that the United States would continue to work for the values that underlie its relations with Israel, and on top of that Promote democracy, an independent judicial system, and checks and balances. According to her saying.

Harris spoke these words in the presence of the Chairman of the Constitution Committee, Member of Knesset Simha Rotman, who leads these reforms and defends them strongly, and who entered into an argument with an employee at the embassy who informed him that he was not invited to celebrate, only to find out later that he was invited at the last moments.

Commenting on Harris's statements, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said, "If you ask her what bothers her about judicial reforms, she will not know how to tell us about that.. I do not know if she has read the law or not, and my estimate is that she has not."

Cohen's statements sparked a storm and anger, especially from the US ambassador to Israel, Thomas Naides, who defended Harris's words and described them as confirmation of the friendship of Washington and Tel Aviv.

Cohen was forced to issue a statement in both Hebrew and English, in which he said: "I have great respect for our ally the United States, and for Vice President Harris, who is a great friend of Israel... Judicial reforms, an internal Israeli issue in the process of negotiation, and Israel will remain democratic and liberal as it has always been."

In a related context, the Minister of Environmental Protection, Idit Silman, was forced to leave a conference of the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper on climate and the environment due to the protests of the opposition to judicial reforms, amid chanting slogans from the protesters at the conference, "Resign and go home."

Plans of the occupation in the West Bank?!

Jerusalem Hadith

Jerusalem Hadith

Opinion Writer

The Israeli occupation’s preparations to implement the settlement plan in “E1”, as well as what is happening in Salfit governorate in terms of confiscating more lands for the establishment of more settlements, as well as in various parts of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, carries several goals that no one is ignorant of, and that is just a reminder. Perhaps it will be a move from the Palestinian side, mainly Arab and Islamic, to confront what the occupying state is doing in terms of measures, decisions, acts of killing, oppression, and abuse of sanctities, foremost of which is the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Judaization of Jerusalem, which everyone visions as the capital of the Palestinian state, while it is only defended in statements and statements. Which has become neither enriched nor fattened from hunger and the occupying state does not care about it or take it seriously. On the contrary, it sees in it an opportunity for it to continue the policy of annexation and expansion.

One of the most prominent goals of what is happening on the part of the Israeli side is to make the West Bank mere ghettos surrounded by settlements from various sides, and to prevent any communication between them. At the very least, without the establishment of a Palestinian state in the foreseeable future, as long as the internal Palestinian situation is in a state of destructive division that has inflicted the greatest damage on the Palestinian cause, which the occupying state is exploiting to implement its plans and policies in liquidating the conflict and resolving it in its favor and in favor of the settlers.

The aim is also to implement the Israeli decision to increase the number of settlers in the West Bank, to reach, within the years ruled by the more right-wing, racist and extremist government of Benjamin Netanyahu, more than a million settlers, in addition to the ethnic cleansing operations carried out by the occupying state and the herds of settlers in many areas. areas, and the use of carrots and sticks to force citizens to leave their land and country, either voluntarily as a result of the occupation’s violations, procedures and crimes that do not allow them to live, or by force by seizing any favorable international opportunity to deport citizens, as happened in the Nakba and Naksa.

Frankly speaking, the occupying state does not want peace and has declared more than once, but several times, that the West Bank, including Jerusalem, is Jewish, in a clear falsification of history and all the evidence and facts that confirm the Palestinianness and Arabness of Palestine.

In front of this reality that targets our people and our cause, whoever bears the primary responsibility for that is the Palestinian side, which has turned the internal contradiction into a fundamental contradiction, while this contradiction must be with the occupying state and the herds of settlers.
There is also negligence on the part of the Arab and Islamic countries, especially the countries that establish normalization and “peace” relations with the occupying state, which do not pay any attention to these agreements. On the contrary, they practice their crimes against our people in front of these countries, which target the young before the old. Muhammad Haitham Al-Tamimi, who is two and a half years old, is nothing but evidence of the crimes committed by the occupying state.

The time has come for an effective Palestinian, Arab and Islamic movement to repel the occupation attacks and support the steadfastness of citizens in the face of what the occupation forces and herds of settlers are doing.

The West Bank is on its way to annexation, especially the Jordan Valley, Salfit, and the “E1” region, and everyone must assume their national and national responsibilities, because history will not be merciful to anyone who fails to play his national role.

Salfit Governorate, if matters were not really "resolved" in favor of the illegal colonial settlement that the occupying state has built in the Palestinian territories since its occupation, whose fifty-sixth anniversary comes in what is known as the June setback, as the settlement projects extend since 1968 on the lands of the governorate until today, and when they are completed Using the term Hasmet, this does not mean, of course, recognition of the policy of the occupation fait accompli at all or explaining the possibility of coexistence with this reality.

Returning to this issue, it can be said that Salfit, whose land was ravaged by the settlement monster, is the only governorate in which the number of settlers exceeds the number of residents. Salfit, for those who do not know, is also the only governorate in which the number of settlements exceeds the number of Palestinian villages, 21 villages and 24 settlements. This is in addition to the fact that it includes The largest or one of the largest industrial clusters in the West Bank, called the Burkan Industrial Zone, which includes dozens of factories that were illegally transferred from the inside for the benefit of an illegal project in the heart of the West Bank, and the pollution it spreads to the environment and the land, the destruction of crops and fields, and the closure of vast areas of what remains of its lands For security, military, or other reasons, and also there is the Wadi Qana area that is being seized under the name of a natural reserve, in addition to the terminology of the Absentee Property Law, or the so-called princely lands, or state lands, all of which have been approved by laws that serve and nourish the actual, practical, direct application of plundering the land and tightening the grip on it. And Salfit for those who do not know in the same context is located on one of the most important water basins that represent an important aspiration for the occupation, in addition to its geographical position on a site overlooking the occupied interior regions, which makes it of strategic importance and naturally puts it in the eye of sensitive ambitions for the occupation.

The governorate witnessed the beginnings of the settlement project immediately after the occupation, leading to the start of the establishment of the Ariel settlement, which is one of the settlement blocs (cities) that includes all the elements of the main cities within the Green Line. It has a university and service facilities comparable to Tel Aviv or other cities. Ariel is described as the backyard of Tel Aviv. And the foundation stone for it was laid by the Minister of the Occupation Army at the time, Ariel Sharon, at the end of the seventies of the last century, and it was named after him, and from this we infer what makes no place for the controversy the importance that reflects the ideological orientations of what is happening in the Palestinian territories, which do not differ except in some formal issues, but the root of the settlement project is It is based on the expulsion of the Arabs and the purification of the country from its owners, and the practice of all forms of uprooting by all means to seize the land. I have only provided a direct example of this project and the racist tendencies based on the negation of the other, and the endeavor to end the existence of the Palestinian people as a whole.

Yesterday, just a few days ago, a new old plan was announced to seize thousands of dunams of Salfit land, which includes more than 10 thousand dunams, most of which are agricultural lands. settlement units, in addition to roads linking settlements and a cemetery, a new industrial zone, water and electricity networks, and other services, in addition to the destructive effects of trees, crops, and lands. Movement and movement, the settlement in Salfit is an important focal point in the project being implemented. If we look at an area known as the Za’tara checkpoint and head west, the expansion and settlement continues without interruption in a broad and wide strip, devouring tens of thousands of dunams, reaching the city of Ras al-Ain, Malbis and Tel Aviv in a continuous line, and we do not need much. It is smart if we set out from the same area to the east, i.e. from the Zatara checkpoint, we would reach the Jordan Valley with a similar strip, and we all also know the great importance of the Jordan Valley, which is the food basket for the West Bank. In other words, what is happening in Salfit bisects the West Bank into two completely separate parts, which means more accurately that the future Palestinian state In the West Bank, it has become in the news "was" an actual end to the possibility of the establishment of an independent state with geographical contiguity, the seizure of natural resources, huge reserves and water, the cutting of the land and its conversion into ghettos, and the imposition of a fait accompli so that the picture according to the plan can bear only two solutions, the solution of annexation to the occupying state, and there was talk Publicly about it with the formation of the current occupation government with the imposition of racist measures on the population, not granting them identity and many similar measures. People with the difficulty of continuing to live, as there is no space for farms, and there are no elements of a life worthy of humans to search for other outlets. This is the essence of the plan that is underway with the mentality of the occupier, who is trying ferociously to deny the narrative, but rather he is fighting over the simplest things. Take, for example, the water springs in the province, really, no one can reach them The spread of wild wild boars that prevent farmers from reaching their land, and Salfit was the first to release pigs there. Today, the journey to reach the olive field has become fraught with danger in every sense of the word, not to mention the release of settlers’ hands, preventing people from picking olives and practicing all forms of infringement on Palestinian rights. A small omen of what is happening in the province of Zaytoun, as you know.

This is a condensed summary of the reality of the daily situation. We list it not out of desperation or slapping the cheeks, and not in order to make this image with all its pretext to deal with what is happening in terms of a painful and dangerous reality. We have to work today before tomorrow with real and serious will and endeavors within the margins of what is available nationally and popularly to mobilize all energies and capabilities for the success of the confrontation campaigns in Salfit. The valleys, but Salfit is bleeding and a reality is being established in it that would resolve the conflict, and no one is deceived or deceived by the false terminology that you are trying to spread and talk about (appropriation for the public good) according to the military order to seize the lands of the towns of Bruqin and Sarata west of Salfit, 42 dunums announced yesterday, which is an extension For the same scheme that was unveiled a few days ago to confiscate tens of thousands of dunums in the governorate. The Zionist project is (appropriation for the public interest), but appropriation of the land at the expense of its residents and owners who inherited it. .

If there is no effective, responsible and serious movement in the face of what is happening in Salfit these days at all levels, then the alternative is to implement the occupation law in it and formalize annexation and expansion, and take control of it. Today, through the cry and appeal of the people of Salfit, it is required to save the governorate before it drowns in the sea of settlement. Sweeping and providing it with the elements of steadfastness, survival, and work with the will of everyone to confront this dangerous and destructive project. Salfit is crying out for help, groaning under the weight of annexation and Judaization. Why isn't a decision taken to stop the relationship with the government of the extreme right in terms of stopping settlements in Salfit and the recent plans in it!!! And why does the government not hold its next meeting in Salfit with the general secretaries of all the factions and forces, and let it be a popular conference that reflects the will to stick to the land and national rights, addresses people’s issues, and works to meet the basics and conditions of life!! Work is required without delay and without slowing down.

This is how Israel was defeated in the year 67 Nabil Amr

Nabil Amr

Opinion Writer

Wait, wait... This title is not mine... It is for the Israeli writer Akiva Eldar, and he put it for an article in which he talked about the war that took place half a century ago, in which Israel is still celebrating its victory.

“Monday... June 5, 67, Naksa Day. The Palestinian people will grieve over 56 years of humiliation under the Israeli occupation, and the Israeli people will record another year of falling into the abyss of apartheid, tyranny and isolation.

"Such a victory... and we will be finished" (end quote).

That day I was there, I was 20 years old, and I was spending my summer vacation after an exhausting year of studying at the Faculty of Law at the University of Damascus. I was not observing the course of the war. My connection and that of my family with it were the Arab broadcasts, which before that Monday planted in us the certainty that the word war with Israel means a sure victory, so the night before the announcement of its outbreak was one of the nights of life. Where the delicious waiting for a certain victory, the radio broadcasts preached about it, which made the war a security.

In that distant summer, the poems produced words, melodies, and songs, until “Oh Welcome to the Battles” became the first popular song that laid the path of buried wishes and desires with silk.

It Wasn't What It Was After It Stopped: The Six-Day War. On a scale other than the digital census of time, it was the Three Days' War. The first was the day when we stayed up with every minute broadcasted by the radios from Amman, Cairo and Damascus. The radios were not widespread in the village except for some of them, and we followed the news, fearing that some development would prevent its establishment. Those of us who managed to sleep that night, Victory visited him with a rosy dream that deepened inside him with certainty that his tidings would appear after hours.

The radio stations did not disappoint their esteemed listeners. On the afternoon of that joyful Monday, the magic phrase that the radio stations used to herald the coup was heard: “Now the following has come to us.”

There was a stillness that I imagined wrapped the globe with what was on it. A mad clamor erupted. He did not give the announcer time to complete his statement. Here is the hidden wish being fulfilled, and the news of shooting down 8 enemy planes as the first meal came in the second place.

56 years have passed, and that scene is still imprinted in my memory. Not a single moment has been lost from it. I was standing in front of the barbershop of its owner, Naim, following up with dozens of citizens the news of the war on the huge radio that he “turned on to the other” so that his contribution to the war would spread joy in the people. The same as everyone who hears. The customer was left sitting on the revolving seat, as the duty of dancing has come, and is there a better occasion for joy than for the refugee barber to see his village, Al-Dawaima, liberated! The crazy dance performed by the barber made everyone who was waiting for his turn to shave postpone the “ring” until after the victory, so a Dabke ring was organized that did not witness all the weddings of the village similar to its breadth, since its founding by the Canaanites.

However, the wedding that took place from the courtyard of the salon seemed modest when compared to the wedding that was launched by the patrons of the café, who used to fill its spacious hall and patio. When the people danced to her music, the war that broke out only 5 minutes ago produced an early victory that became in the pocket.

The dancers calmed down, lost their fatigue, and moved on to practicing a less noisy hobby, which is counting the number of planes that the radio stations competed to shoot down.

And I watched young men of my age record “with pen and paper” the numbers, and announce the result of their total to the audience. In total, the Arabs were shot down from planes on 3 fronts.

Although the numbers that were announced until that afternoon exceeded the hundreds, the enthusiasm that appeared after the first meal began to cool down, so that doubt began to creep into the souls. I even heard someone say: “What did you know that it was a lie? They said who made it big.” The owner of the skeptical comment, which was immediately classified as a “fifth column,” was expelled from the square of joy.

I forgot to mention that an understanding crystallized between the radio carriers - and the "transistor" was in its early beginnings - which stipulated that no one would open Israel Radio, not even London.

Israel will be discouraged and claim victory. As for London, it was said that it is poisoning the fat, and the fat here is the true news of the Arabs, and the poison is the false news of Israel!

Two days have passed. The first is the day of waiting for the next victory, and the second is the day of the victory that has been achieved. Where the enemy planes fell like flies, as a result of an effective insecticide. As for the third day, and perhaps despite the “clouding of days”, it was the last, and the following occurred on it:

The muezzin ascended the smooth stone, which the Minister of Awqaf had placed as the foundation stone of the mosque, which had not yet been built. On the day of victory, he ascended it, asking the honorable audience to go to the school playground to receive weapons, to fulfill the duty of defending the town if the enemy infiltrated it. In that declaration he was strong in tone, breathless, but today, his voice seemed to be difficult to come out of his throat, and it shone with tears. He left his smooth pulpit, not finding in himself the sufficient ability to announce what the Israeli officer asked him to do: “Just as you called the audience to hand over the weapon, call him to hand it over.”

Returning to what this article began with, from a literal borrowing of what Mr. Akiva Eldar wrote; Where the title: “This is how Israel was defeated in the year 67,” to add an Arabic sentence to the Hebrew article: Thus, we did not win. In agreement with the "Middle East"

Blinken discussed human rights with the Saudi crown prince

On Tuesday night, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken held talks in Jeddah with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which dealt with human rights and a possible normalization of relations between Israel and the Kingdom.

On the first day of the US minister's visit to the Kingdom, a US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Blinken and the Saudi crown prince had an "open and frank conversation," explaining that the foreign minister had raised with Prince Mohammed bin Salman the issue of human rights "in general and with regard to specific issues."

He added that the meeting, which began around midnight local time in the royal palace and lasted an hour and forty minutes, allowed for a number of points of "convergence (...) with our recognition of those on which we differ."

He added that they "discussed a possible normalization of relations with Israel and agreed to continue dialogue in this regard."

Discussions also touched on the conflict in Sudan, where US and Saudi mediation failed to enforce truces between the two warring military leaders.

The United States said it was ready to resume talks in Jeddah with envoys from both sides if they were "serious" in their desire to respect a ceasefire that helps deliver humanitarian aid.

Since April 15, the war in Sudan between the army led by Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces of Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo has killed more than 1,800 people and displaced more than 1.5 million people.

Blinken and Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed their "commitment to stability, security, and prosperity in the Middle East region and beyond," including towards ending the conflict in Yemen, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller confirmed in a statement.

And the US Secretary of State arrived on Tuesday evening in Jeddah, located on the Red Sea, on a visit to Saudi Arabia aimed at improving relations with the Kingdom. The Saudi ally, which Washington supplied with weapons, plays a major role in the region. US officials do not hide their desire to maintain strong relations between Washington and the Kingdom.

After Jeddah, Blinken will head to Riyadh on Wednesday to participate in the GCC foreign ministers' meeting.

Together with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan Al-Khamis, he will also chair a meeting in Riyadh of the coalition of countries fighting the Islamic State, which was established in 2014 and includes dozens of countries.

The three-day visit comes against the backdrop of a historic rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and two US enemies, Iran and Syria, which triggered a change in the geopolitical situation in the region.

The Islamic Republic, archenemy of the United States and Israel for decades, reopened its embassy in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, seven years after it was closed.

Relations between Washington and Riyadh are complex, as Joe Biden's administration accuses the wealthy Gulf state of human rights abuses and influencing crude oil prices.

On Tuesday, human rights activists called on Blinken to raise this issue with the Saudi authorities.

Among them is Abdullah al-Qahtani, an American citizen whose father, Muhammad al-Qahtani, was cut off from news, who served a ten-year prison sentence in Saudi Arabia for founding a civil rights group.

He said in a virtual press conference that Blinken "must look into my father's situation. Is he alive? Was he tortured? We don't know."

As for normalization with Israel, it is a very sensitive issue and will constitute a new change in the region after the recent rapprochement between Riyadh and Tehran, sponsored by China, as well as between Riyadh and Damascus after years of apathy.

Blinken said in a speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Monday in Washington that the United States has "a real national security interest in encouraging normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia."

He added that Washington "has no illusions" that this can be done quickly or easily, stressing that the Americans "will remain committed to working towards (achieving) this result."

In recent years, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco have announced the normalization of their relations with Israel, violating decades of Arab consensus that required resolving the Palestinian issue to establish relations with Israel.

Launching a campaign in the United States against Israeli apartheid

100 American organizations have launched the "Apartheid-Free Societies" campaign aimed at ending US support for Israel's apartheid state.

The founding statement of the campaign on its website said that the launch of the campaign came to build a movement in North America to end Israeli apartheid, noting that it draws inspiration from the anti-apartheid movement that overthrew the apartheid regime in South Africa.

The statement called for building societies free from apartheid within societies of faith and societies of conscience by "moving away from any support for Israeli apartheid, occupation and settler colonialism."

The campaign statement affirmed its commitment to freedom, justice and equality for the Palestinian people and all people, and to oppose all forms of racism, discrimination and persecution.

The statement indicated that for decades, the Palestinian people have faced Israeli settler colonization and occupation imposed through racist and discriminatory legal systems, forced displacement, blockades and restrictions on movement, and systematic violations of human rights.

The statement said: According to legal researchers and the international human rights community, this situation constitutes a crime and that is why we demand an end to apartheid.

It is noteworthy that joining the campaign is available to individuals and societies after agreeing to the pledge to join, which calls for a society free of apartheid and work to end all forms of support for the Israeli apartheid regime.

In Canada, on July 25 of last year, it was announced that a similar initiative was launched under the name "Together Against Apartheid", to educate and enable Canadians to participate in the effort to end the oppression of the Palestinian people.

Injuries and arrests in separate areas of the West Bank

At least 7 young men were injured, and a number of others were arrested, at dawn and Wednesday morning, during a campaign of raids by the Israeli occupation forces on several areas in the West Bank.

According to medical sources, one of the young men was moderately wounded, after the occupation forces stormed the town of Kafrdan, west of Jenin.

The occupation forces raided several houses in the town, amid armed clashes with resistance groups, and confrontations with dozens of young men, amidst the sound of explosions, one of which was caused by the detonation of a vehicle by those forces.

These forces arrested Malik Muhammad Abed, Ihsan Ayman Abed, his brother Osama, and Mujahid Ahmed Salah, after storming their homes.
