Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Ministry of National Economy announced today, Wednesday, the registration of a patent for oral care and antibacterial products.
The patent belongs to the Italian inventor Lorenzo Emiliano Boiucci. It is a specialized oral care product such as mouthwash, periodontal gel or toothpaste, which contains chlorhexidine and sodium deoxyribonucleic acid.
And Director of the Patents and Industrial Designs Department at the Ministry, Hassan Ansawi, stated that the invented product provides an effective antibacterial effect against gingivitis, bacterial spot, and periodontitis with healing and anti-inflammatory activity.
The invention also counteracts oxidative stress, to reduce the appearance and progression of irritation of the oral mucosa, and promotes its own trophism.
The number of patents officially registered with the Ministry rises to 192 patents in various fields, including: health, agriculture, environment and information technology.
On May 26, the World Intellectual Property Organization celebrated World Intellectual Property Day, under the slogan "Intellectual Property and Youth Innovation for a Better Future," to highlight the role that intellectual property plays in encouraging innovation and creativity.
