The occupation arrests at least 30 citizens from several governorates in the West Bank
The arrest of more than 30 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, reflects the escalation of the occupation's repressive policies against our people.
Prisoner institutions reported that Israeli occupation forces arrested at least thirty citizens from various governorates in the West Bank, including the occupied city of Jerusalem, from last night until this morning, Wednesday. The arrest and field investigation operations were primarily concentrated in the city of Dura in Hebron governorate, while the remaining arrests were distributed across the governorates of Nablus, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Tulkarm, and Salfit.
The arrest operations are accompanied by widespread violations, including incursions, abuses, and assaults on the detainees and their families, as the occupation forces use excessive force, fire directly with the intent to kill, and use detainees as hostages during interrogation operations. Homes are subjected to raids, vandalism, and extensive destruction in an attempt to intimidate the residents and impose control over the areas.
In the context of the ongoing escalation, statistics indicate that the number of arrests since the beginning of the ongoing genocide in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, has exceeded 18,500 cases, a figure that does not include arrests in the Gaza Strip, which are estimated in the thousands, noting that this toll includes those who were arrested and later released. The figures confirm that the occupation continues its repressive campaigns intensively, aiming to break the will of our people and impose control over the occupied areas.
