The French newspaper "Le Figaro" published an analytical report concluding that the true goal of the second phase of the military operation launched by the occupying army in Gaza is not the traditional invasion of the city, but rather making it uninhabitable through a "logic of total destruction."
The report quoted French military historian Pierre Razoux as saying that the occupying Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is seeking to achieve a decisive military "success" before the second anniversary of the events of October 7, which ignited the ongoing war for two years.
Razoux, who is the academic director of the Mediterranean Institute for Strategic Studies, believes that the occupying army is currently focused on forcing as many residents of Gaza as possible to leave by "destroying everything to make the city uninhabitable."
