235 deaths due to famine in Gaza, including 106 children.. and international organizations: starvation is intentional.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip announced that the number of victims of famine and malnutrition in the region has risen to 235 martyrs since the start of the Israeli occupation's siege, including 106 children. These figures reflect the catastrophic situation experienced by the residents of Gaza due to the deliberate policies of the occupation.

The statement clarified that among the victims are 129 adults, including 19 women, 75 elderly individuals, and 35 men over the age of 18. It also noted that about 40,000 infants in the sector are suffering from malnutrition that threatens their lives, in addition to 250,000 children under the age of five facing severe nutritional deficiencies.

The media office confirmed that 1.2 million children under the age of eighteen live in a state of severe food insecurity, putting them at great risk. These figures reflect the extent of the systematic crime committed by the occupation against civilians in Gaza.

The office pointed out that only 201 aid trucks out of 1,200 entered the sector during the past Sunday and Monday, noting that most of this aid was looted amid a security chaos deliberately created by the occupation.

The government office called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to urgently fulfill their responsibilities to stop this escalating humanitarian disaster, ensure the unrestricted flow of food and medicine, and immediately end the siege and open the crossings to save what remains of civilian lives.

Recently, the World Food Programme warned that a third of Gaza's population has not eaten for several days, describing the humanitarian situation as unprecedented in levels of hunger and despair. The United Nations also confirmed that Gaza needs hundreds of aid trucks daily to end the famine.

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, stated that one million children in the Gaza Strip are deprived of education and suffer from deep psychological trauma, emphasizing the necessity of not remaining silent about their suffering.
