At least 12,000 people participated last night in a massive demonstration in the German capital, Berlin, demanding an end to the genocide in Gaza.
The demonstration was called by a coalition that includes German politician Sarah Wagenknecht, leader and founder of the 'Alliance Sarah Wagenknecht' party, actor Dieter Halverden, and rapper Massif, in rejection of Israel's policy in the ongoing war in the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been suffering from a hunger crisis for many months.
Participants raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans such as: 'Free Palestine,' and held signs demanding peace and negotiations instead of sending arms shipments.
The demonstrators also expressed their rejection of arms supplies to war zones and the increase of armament in Germany, calling on the federal government to work towards peace negotiations and a two-state solution in the Middle East.
