206 members of the Japanese parliament signed a letter addressed to Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya, demanding that the government recognize the State of Palestine.
Three members of parliament, including Tomoko Abe from the Constitutional Democratic Party, the main opposition party, submitted the signed letter to Iwaya on Thursday.
Following his meeting with Iwaya, parliamentarian Tamomuko stated: "Israel does not intend to accept a ceasefire, and the starvation of children cannot be ignored."
