Jordanian Palestinian Export Company: Ongoing efforts to export agricultural products from Qalqilya abroad.

The General Manager of the Jordanian-Palestinian Export Company, Qais Al-Qatamin, stated that the Jordanian company discussed with the Palestinian side the mechanisms for exporting Palestinian agricultural products abroad, following directives from Jordanian King Abdullah II. This came during Al-Qatamin's visit along with his accompanying delegation to the Qalqilya Governorate headquarters.

Al-Qatamin explained that the company held a meeting with Palestinian partners and is fully prepared to commence export operations and work on developing additional partnerships in coordination with the relevant Palestinian authorities. These steps reflect the company's commitment to supporting Palestinian farmers.

Tarik Abu Khayzaran, a representative of the Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company, confirmed that contracts with farmers are ongoing, in addition to those previously established. He noted that the volume of exports is expected to double this year compared to last year, which saw a significant decline due to the obstacles posed by the Israeli occupation.

Abu Khayzaran added that the occupation's measures have led to disruptions in exports and the destruction of large quantities of crops, resulting in heavy losses for farmers. Nevertheless, the joint efforts between the Palestinian and Jordanian sides are moving towards ensuring the products reach Jordan.

For his part, the Acting Governor of Qalqilya, Muhammad Khadr, briefed the visiting delegation on the reality of the governorate and its difficult conditions due to the occupation's measures. He emphasized the importance of supporting farmers and the agricultural sector in Qalqilya, considering it primarily an agricultural city.

Khadr appreciated the Jordanian efforts made to support farmers and open avenues for marketing their products, stressing that these steps reflect the depth of the Jordanian-Palestinian partnership.
