Hamas issued an official statement today addressing developments in the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip. The movement sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserting that he "is adept at sabotaging one round of negotiations after another and does not want to reach any agreement."
The movement sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserting that he "is adept at sabotaging one round of negotiations after another and is unwilling to reach any agreement."
In the statement, Hamas emphasized that "the resistance fighters are waging a war of attrition that surprises the enemy daily with innovative field tactics," noting that these tactics "are causing the occupation army to lose the initiative and confuse its calculations," despite its superior firepower and airpower.
The movement added that "the longer the war continues, the more the occupation army will sink into Gaza's quicksand and become more vulnerable to the resistance's qualitative strikes," considering that the continuation of the war portends "a strategic disaster for the occupying entity."
Regarding Israeli claims of "absolute victory," Hamas asserted that this claim is a "big illusion" promoted by Netanyahu to cover up a "resounding field and political defeat" for the occupation forces in Gaza.
