Samir Geagea: Hezbollah must give up its weapons

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea told Reuters that Hezbollah must give up its weapons to end the war and spare Lebanon destruction.

He added that with the destruction of Hezbollah's infrastructure and warehouses, a large part of Lebanon is being destroyed, noting that the country is paying the price, according to his description.

He added that the pressures of the intense Israeli military campaign constitute an opportunity to put the country back on the right track, calling on Hezbollah and the state to implement local agreements and international resolutions to dissolve armed factions outside the state's control.

He also expressed his opposition to the Lebanese army forcibly disarming Hezbollah, saying, "I do not see the possibility of any civil war breaking out, and my party absolutely does not want that war to start."
