- The New York Times quoted Iranian officials as saying that more than 20 people were arrested in connection with the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
- The officials said those arrested included intelligence officers, military officials and employees of the guest house.
- The American newspaper also quoted an Iranian Revolutionary Guard official as saying that security protocols for senior officials had been modified over the past two days.
