US President Donald Trump stressed on Monday evening his administration's firm stance on the Iranian nuclear file, affirming that Tehran will not be able under any circumstances to possess nuclear weapons, within the framework of Washington's vision for regional and international security.
Trump revealed in press statements that there have been positive developments in the negotiation process, indicating that diplomatic efforts and military pressure have led to significant progress towards drafting a final and comprehensive agreement that ends the existing crisis with the Iranian side.
In the context of his discussion of military power, the US President considered that his country has succeeded in curbing Iranian military capabilities, which paved the way - according to him - for sitting at the negotiating table from a position of strength to ensure regional stability and prevent nuclear escalation.
Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon, and we have made good progress on reaching a final agreement.
