Armed Iraqi factions announced today (Wednesday) that they attacked a base for American forces inside Syrian territory with two drones.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a group of Iraqi Shiite factions, said in a statement that its members targeted “the American occupation base in Al-Tanf, Syria, with two drones, which directly hit their targets.”
The American base is located in the Al-Tanf region in southeastern Syria.
These armed factions have previously announced attacks on American military bases in Syria.
Recently, Iraqi military bases where American forces and forces from the international coalition are present as advisors and trainers were subjected to attacks with missiles and drones, after the outbreak of war between the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Israel in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings on the seventh of last October.
