The “ Shabab Al-Khalil ” club lost with two goals without a response, against the Omani “Al-Nahda”, on Saturday evening, in the first-leg match for the first preliminary round of the King Salman Cup for Champions Clubs 2023, which is organized by the Arab Football Association.
Al-Nahda advanced in the first half with a clean goal scored by Demba Kamara in the 13th minute, before Omar Al-Maliki added the second goal for the Omani team in the 72nd minute.
The representative of Palestinian football in the tournament, "Shabab Al-Khalil", performed well throughout the two halves of the match, but his players suffered from the final touch in translating the opportunities they had into goals.
The return match between the two teams will be hosted by the Hebron Youth Club on the 11th of this April, to decide the identity of the qualifier for the next stage, where the winner of the Egyptian Vanguards match and the Libyan Al-Ahly of Tripoli will meet, provided that the winner qualifies for the third stage (the role of the group).
