Nablus - "Jerusalem" dot com - Emad Saadeh - The Minister of Transportation, Asim Salem, and the Mayor of Nablus, Dr. Sami Hijjawi, signed today, Tuesday, a joint cooperation agreement to establish a public transportation company within the city, as part of the efforts aimed at finding solutions to the problem of traffic congestion.
The agreement includes the municipality establishing a public transportation company within the city of Nablus, provided that it is managed by the municipality and under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
It also included the establishment of a central control room for traffic lights and the use of smart control systems to manage intersections through traffic lights according to the latest technological systems.
The municipality has presented a project to invest in parking lots to ease congestion resulting from parking lots in the city center.
