Washington - "Al Quds" dot com - (AFP) - The United States condemned Russia's plan to accelerate the naturalization of residents of Ukrainian regions, and saw the move as a new attempt to subjugate the population.
US State Department spokesman Ned Paris said that the plan is part of "Russia's attempt to subjugate the Ukrainian people and impose its will by force... This is something we strongly express our rejection of."
