Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced a new toll of victims of the ongoing aggression since Saturday morning, with 6 martyrs and more than 20 citizens sustaining injuries of varying severity. These injuries resulted from a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling that targeted various areas of the Strip, raising the level of field tension and increasing the suffering of the besieged population.
In the context of field developments in the southern Strip, local sources confirmed the martyrdom of two citizens and the injury of others due to an attack carried out by an occupation drone in Khan Yunis city. These attacks come as part of a wide-ranging military escalation that includes intensive ground and air operations, causing widespread destruction to infrastructure and densely populated residential areas.
For its part, the Ministry of Interior in Gaza issued an urgent appeal to the international community and mediating countries, calling for the necessity of exerting real pressure on the occupation authorities to stop targeting the cadres and headquarters of the civilian police force. The ministry indicated that deliberately striking the civilian security system aims to spread chaos and disrupt the organizational efforts made by the specialized agencies to serve citizens in these harsh circumstances.
The ministry stressed that the continued targeting of police elements directly affects the provision of humanitarian aid and ensuring its delivery to those in need, exacerbating the living and security crisis. Official bodies warned that the absence of police organization would lead to catastrophic consequences for civil peace and the ability to manage daily life affairs amidst the ongoing military operations.
Targeting the police system leads to disruption of humanitarian and organizational services provided to citizens under difficult field conditions.
