Axios: The plan presented to Hamas differs from the one agreed upon between Trump and the Arab countries.

The American Axios website revealed that the plan announced by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Gaza underwent substantial modifications made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, resulting in a significant change in the terms of the agreement that had previously been approved by the United States and several Arab and Islamic countries.

According to the report, Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, held a lengthy meeting lasting 6 hours in Washington with White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, along with his advisor Ron Dermer, during which he managed to amend the key terms related to the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

The new proposal links the Israeli withdrawal to the progress of the disarmament process of Hamas and grants Israel a veto right over the process. Even if all conditions are met and the three phases of withdrawal are completed, Israeli forces will remain within a security perimeter inside Gaza "until Gaza is fully secured against any renewed threat," which could mean indefinitely.

Officials from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey expressed their anger over these amendments. Despite Qatar's attempts to convince the Trump administration not to announce the plan on Monday due to these objections, the White House proceeded with its release, calling on Arab and Islamic countries to support it.

Eight countries issued a joint statement welcoming Trump's announcement without fully endorsing it. One source stated that the Qataris informed the other countries that after this generally positive statement, further discussions with the United States regarding the details would take place.

While Trump and Netanyahu discussed the plan in front of the media, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani was presenting it to Hamas leaders in Doha, who expressed their willingness to study it "in good faith," according to informed sources.

White House envoy Witkoff confirmed in statements to Fox News that Trump's plan "has broad support in the Middle East and Europe," adding, "There may be details that need further work, but President Trump will push everyone to move forward."
