The health authorities in Gaza reject the occupation's warnings to evacuate hospitals.

The Israeli occupation forces issued warnings to hospitals in Gaza City to prepare for the evacuation of patients, medical staff, and equipment, and to head south as part of their preparations for the occupation plan of Gaza City. The health authorities in the city rejected these warnings, with the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirming that any step that undermines what remains of the health system is unacceptable.

The Ministry of Health indicated that the occupation's decision would deprive more than a million people of their right to treatment, putting the lives of residents, patients, and the wounded at risk. The Israeli occupation army made initial warning calls to medical entities and international organizations in northern Gaza Strip, ordering them to prepare for the transfer of patients from the city's hospitals to the south.

The Director-General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, stated that the Israeli occupation is planning to paralyze the health sector in Gaza and break the morale of the medical staff. Al-Bursh confirmed that he does not rule out the possibility of the occupation committing further massacres in hospitals as it did previously since the onset of aggression on October 7, 2023.

For its part, the United Nations stated that the ongoing orders to evacuate Gaza City, along with the massive escalation in violence, have pushed residents into smaller and smaller areas, placing unbearable pressure on hospitals. Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, pointed out that the occupation's orders to transfer equipment to the southern part of the Strip represent a death sentence for two thousand patients.

The spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Khalil Al-Daqran, considered that the occupation seeks to undermine the health system by requesting the transfer of equipment from northern Gaza Strip to the central and southern governorates, indicating that this is a continuation of the Israeli extermination policy against the residents of the Strip.

In a related context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the total number of victims of starvation and malnutrition in the Strip has risen to 271 martyrs, including 112 children. Additionally, 71 people were martyred by the fire of the occupation forces yesterday, Thursday, including 11 aid seekers.

Medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital reported the martyrdom of a Palestinian and the injury of others from the group waiting for aid, due to the fire of the occupation forces near Al-Rasheed Street, northwest of Gaza City. The sources also added that other injured individuals arrived at the hospital following the bombing of a house inhabited by residents in the Al-Shanti area, northwest of Gaza City.
