Qatar announced on Tuesday evening that negotiations aimed at stopping the Israeli genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip "are still ongoing," but "no time limit can be set" for them.
This was stated by the Advisor to the Prime Minister and Spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majed Al-Ansari, in a weekly briefing during a press conference in Doha, according to a statement by the ministry.
Al-Ansari said that the negotiations "are still ongoing at the technical level," and "there is always Qatar's belief in the necessity of continuing these efforts, no matter how difficult the conditions are during the negotiations."
He added that "the delegations representing all parties meet on a permanent basis, whether in Doha or Cairo."
He added: "However, a time limit cannot be set for these negotiations, and there are no expectations at the moment, and this will be announced if immediate results are reached."
