Referring the case of the assassination of journalist Samer Abu Daqqa in Gaza to the International Criminal Court

The Qatari Al Jazeera network decided to refer the case of the assassination of its photographer at the hands of the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, Samer Abu Daqqa (45 years old), to the International Criminal Court “urgently.”

The network said in a statement that it had formed “a group that includes a team affiliated with it and legal experts to prepare the Abu Daqqa assassination file to submit to the criminal court.”

It explained, "The legal file will include repeated attacks on network crews working in the Palestinian territories."

On Friday, Abu Daqqa died as a result of his injury in an Israeli bombing that targeted his place and the channel’s crew covering the events, in addition to the martyrdom of 3 members of the Civil Defense, and the reporter, Wael Al-Dahdouh, was injured by shrapnel, in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
