Displacement in Gaza.. fleeing from death to death

For the second time, the people of Gaza and the north have returned to fleeing towards the southern areas, after their return following the agreement of January 19, 2025, which stipulated the return of the displaced to the northern camps and the cities of Gaza from which they were expelled since the beginning of the war and the ground invasion.

Doctors Without Borders indicated that more than a million people in Gaza are facing renewed terror after receiving urgent orders to evacuate the city.

It explained that escape is impossible for many elderly individuals, pregnant women, critical cases, and the injured, and that those who remain in Gaza have been sentenced to death by the Israeli army, while intense shelling chases those who attempt to flee.

A Palestinian authority warns of the repercussions of Israel's denial of treatment for 3 detainees.

The Palestinian Authority for Prisoners and Released Prisoners warned on Sunday of the repercussions of the Israeli 'Gilboa' prison administration's denial of treatment to three Palestinian detainees.

This came in a statement from the authority after its lawyer visited several sick Palestinian prisoners in the prison located in northern Israel.

The authority stated that 'the prisoner Bilal Othman (48 years old) from the town of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah (northern West Bank), suffers from chronic kidney disease and has one kidney due to an injury sustained in 1994. He complains of blood clotting and gout.'

It explained that Othman, 'who has been detained since 2002 and sentenced to 15 life sentences and an additional 35 years, contracted scabies and suffers from severe itching, and boils have begun to appear. The prison administration refuses to provide him with the necessary treatment.'

The authority pointed out that 'prisoner Othman was burned by the guards, as hot water was poured on his left hand. He also suffers from a broken ring finger on his left hand, as the prison's suppression unit stormed the room, beat everyone inside, and struck him with an iron rod on his back, legs, and arms, which led to his finger being broken, and no treatment was provided to him.'

It highlighted the suffering of prisoner Muhammad Daraghmeh (34 years old) from Tubas, who suffers from scabies and severe itching, and complains of pain from herniated discs in his back and neck, having lost about 15 kilograms of weight.

It stated that prisoner Muhammad Sarhan (25 years old) from the Far'a camp south of Tubas, who is held administratively, suffers from scabies, severe itching, and the spread of boils in various parts of his body.

On Wednesday, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that Israeli prison administrations have expanded their use of electric shocks and rubber bullets against Palestinian prisoners in their jails, amid the spread of scabies in the Negev and Ofer prisons.

This came in a statement from the club, based on visits conducted by its lawyers to dozens of Palestinian prisoners, including children and women, in seven Israeli prisons during the first half of September.

Following visits to more than 20 detainees in the Negev prison, the club stated that 'most of them either contracted scabies and are still suffering from its effects, or have relapsed after recovery.'

Alongside the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army has intensified its operations in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, while Israeli settlers have escalated their attacks, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,042 Palestinians and injuries to about 10,160 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 19,000, according to official Palestinian data.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 65,283 deaths and 166,575 injuries, most of whom are children and women, along with a famine that has killed 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.

The occupation continues to arrest mayors in the West Bank and escalates its aggression alongside the genocide in Gaza.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested a group of citizens from the city of Hebron this morning, Sunday, while they assaulted another citizen physically and stormed the towns of Sa'ir, Al-Shuyukh, and Beit Kahil.

According to local sources, "the occupation forces stormed the southern area of Hebron and arrested Ahmad Sharif Nasr Ghaith, and Hamam Ibrahim Rashid Abu Hamdiyeh Ghaith, and detained the citizen Muhammad Nour Al-Din Abu Turki after assaulting him."

Additionally, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the towns of Al-Shuyukh, Sa'ir, and Beit Kahil, without recording any arrests.

Meanwhile, the occupation army arrested the mayor of Qarawat Bani Hassan, Ibrahim Asi, on Saturday evening, west of Salfit city in the northern West Bank, along with another Palestinian during a raid on the village.

Local sources reported that "the occupation forces arrested the mayor of Qarawat Bani Hassan, Ibrahim Asi," while other sources indicated that "the army also arrested a bulldozer driver named Ghaleb Rayan and confiscated a bulldozer and a crane during the raid."

Moreover, the same sources highlighted that the Israeli occupation forces also placed an iron gate and concrete blocks at the entrance of the village, which narrowed the road and made it difficult for vehicles to pass in both directions.

In a related context, the Israeli occupation army had previously arrested: the mayor of the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah (central), Amin Abu Aliya, on August 23, and released him after 9 days, then the mayor of Hebron, Taysir Abu Sneina, who was arrested on September 2 and transferred to administrative detention (based on a secret file and without trial).

The third is the mayor of the village of Al-Qubeiba, northwest of Jerusalem, Nafez Hamouda, who was arrested on September 10 and released the same day, followed by Abdul Fattah Abu Ali, the mayor of the town of Silat al-Dhahr, south of Jenin (north), who was arrested on September 11 and released the same day.

With American support, the Israeli occupation forces have been continuing since October 7, 2023, to carry out a genocide against the entire besieged Gaza Strip, resulting in 65,208 deaths and 166,271 injuries, most of whom are children and women, not to mention a famine that claimed the lives of 440 Palestinians, including 147 children.

Britain and Portugal intend to recognize the State of Palestine on Sunday.

In a historic diplomatic shift, both Britain and Portugal intend to officially recognize the State of Palestine today, Sunday, in a coordinated move that challenges the pressures from Washington and Tel Aviv, and comes ahead of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The decision by Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government represents a radical change in Britain's policy, and this announcement fulfills a pledge made by Starmer last July to recognize the State of Palestine if Tel Aviv did not take "substantial steps" to stop the war in Gaza.

Major British media reported that the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza and the expansion of settlements prompted the government to activate this decision today.

British Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy attributed the decision to the "dangerous expansion we are witnessing in the West Bank," specifically referring to the "E1" settlement project that threatens to divide the West Bank and severely undermines the chances of implementing a two-state solution.

This move by London coincides with the announcement from the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday that Lisbon will also recognize the State of Palestine today, justifying its decision by the "very concerning developments in the conflict."

This comes ahead of a crucial summit scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, where around ten other countries, including France, are expected to announce their official recognition of Palestine.

Amid the Gaza war and the humanitarian crisis, this diplomatic momentum arises as the occupying army continues its intensive assault on the Gaza Strip, which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of more than 65,000 Palestinians, most of whom are civilians.

The disaster is exacerbated by the United Nations' official declaration of famine in the sector, and a UN investigative committee accusing the Israeli occupation of committing "genocide," charges that Tel Aviv denies.

These moves have been met with rejection and anger from the Israeli occupation, with the Prime Minister of the occupying government, Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing the British Prime Minister of "rewarding terrorism."

With the addition of Britain and Portugal, the number of countries recognizing Palestine rises to 147 out of 193 UN member states, increasing the isolation of the Israeli occupation on the international stage.

The anticipated recognition of the State of Palestine and its dimensions, prospects, and implications.

Several countries, including France, Canada, Belgium, and others, are expected to officially recognize an independent Palestinian state on Monday, September 22, 2025. This action coincides with a summit held before the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The aim of this diplomatic step is to pressure Israel to end its military campaign in Gaza and commit to resuming the peace process.

Countries planning to recognize

Australia: Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced Australia's plan to recognize a Palestinian state during the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025.

Belgium: Announced its intention to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations meeting on Monday.

Canada: Will join the official recognition alongside other countries on Monday.

France: President Emmanuel Macron is the main driving force behind the summit and will lead France's recognition of a Palestinian state.

Luxembourg, Malta, San Marino, and Andorra: An advisor to President Macron indicated that these countries also plan to recognize Palestine at the meeting on Monday.

Portugal: Despite a separate announcement, Portugal confirmed that it will recognize Palestine on Sunday, September 21, before the United Nations conference.

The United Kingdom: Although recognition is conditional on Israeli actions regarding the humanitarian crisis and the peace process, the United Kingdom indicated that it will recognize Palestine close to the convening of the United Nations General Assembly.

This step comes in the following context:

Increasing international pressure: Recent announcements follow a year of increasing international support for the Palestinian state. In 2024, Norway, Spain, Ireland, and Slovenia were among the countries that officially recognized Palestine.

A shift in Western policy: For decades, many Western countries, especially G7 nations, have argued that the Palestinian state should be part of a negotiated two-state solution with Israel. However, recent decisions indicate a shift in this position.

These steps have received mixed reactions.

The Palestinian Authority: The Palestinian Authority welcomed this recognition as a step towards a two-state solution.

Israel: Israeli officials condemned the recognition steps, claiming they "reward terrorism" following the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

The United States: The United States expressed its disapproval of the planned recognition, with President Donald Trump echoing Israeli criticisms verbatim.

The meaning of recognition:

When a significant country recognizes the state of Palestine, it is considered an acknowledgment of legitimacy and sovereignty, expressing acceptance of the idea that Palestinians have the right to political sovereignty over their territories (the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem). This gives recognition a form of international legitimacy to the Palestinian state's endeavors.

Recognition also represents an alignment with the two-state solution, and this recognition is often linked to official support for the option of two states (a Palestinian state and an Israeli state) living side by side in peace. The involvement of influential countries reduces the justifications that claim recognition harms Israel's security if done in a manner that respects the Palestinians' commitment to recognizing Israel and its security, and halting "hostilities."

It also conveys a strong political and symbolic message, even if recognition does not bring immediate changes on the ground; it holds significant symbolic value: moral support for the Palestinian people, political pressure on Israel, and a call for other countries to take similar stances. It is seen as an indicator of changing international balances, and as Western or influential countries approach recognition, there is a shift in traditional positions, possibly a reevaluation of alliances, and perhaps a redefinition of the American and European roles in future agreements, especially if there is a conflict with Israeli positions or with those of Israel's allies.

Dimensions

International law

Recognition means that the recognizing countries consider Palestine a "entity" that enjoys the rights of a legal state, opening the door for practices such as bringing Palestine to lawsuits before international courts, protecting human rights, and the possibility of using the status of "state" in international treaties.

However, this is not as strong as full membership in the United Nations, which requires approval from the Security Council and would face a U

"Systematic ethnic cleansing".. The demolition of residential towers in Gaza raises fears of permanent displacement.

The occupying army announces the demolition of up to 20 residential towers over the past two weeks. For ten years, Palestinian employee Shadi Salama Al-Rais has been repaying a loan of $93,000 to purchase his apartment in the Al-Mushtaha tower, one of the high-rise buildings in an upscale neighborhood of Gaza City. Now, he and his family are living in abject poverty after an Israeli airstrike turned the entire building into a pile of rubble in an instant.

Al-Rais's story is not unique; rather, it reflects a systematic demolition campaign that raises serious concerns among Palestinians and the United Nations that it aims for the permanent displacement of the city's residents, which could amount to "ethnic cleansing."

The attack on the Al-Mushtaha tower on September 5 marked the beginning of an intensive destruction campaign carried out by the occupying army, targeting high-rise buildings in preparation for a ground assault on the heart of the city. Over the past two weeks, the occupying army has announced the demolition of up to 20 residential towers, while the occupying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that 50 "terrorist towers" have been demolished.

Israeli Journalism Between Mobilization and Concealment: How the Narrative of the War on Gaza is Shaped

Ramallah - "Al-Quds" dot com

Ramallah - "Al-Quds" dot com

Opinion Writer

Since October 7, 2023, the date of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance, Israel has entered into an unprecedented military confrontation with the Gaza Strip. However, the war has not only been on the battlefield; it has extended into the media space, where Israeli journalism has played a central role in producing and framing the political and security discourse, shaping the Israeli collective consciousness regarding what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank. This media role has not been neutral; rather, it has been divided between a mobilizing, inciting discourse that legitimizes violence and a critical discourse that attempts to hold the authorities accountable and expose violations.

In the first phase of the war, the narrative of "victimhood" dominated media coverage, framing the Palestinian attack as a brutal assault on Israeli civilians, without any attempt to provide the historical context of the conflict or to mention the ongoing occupation and the blockade imposed on Gaza. This media framing, which is considered one of the tools of symbolic domination, contributed to legitimizing the Israeli military response and justifying the intense bombing of residential areas and health and educational facilities in the Strip.

Media outlets such as "Yedioth Ahronoth" and "Ynet" relied on security discourse as a central axis in their coverage, publishing on October 20, 2023, a report titled "The Army Responds to Terrorism in Gaza," without any mention of the number of civilian casualties or the extent of the destruction. Meanwhile, the newspaper "Makor Rishon" wrote in its editorial on December 5: "What is happening in Gaza is not genocide, but a necessary cleansing of terrorism," in a clear disregard for the professional ethical standards that should govern media coverage in times of conflict.

Despite the enormous numbers of Palestinian civilian casualties in Gaza, which exceeded 168,000 martyrs and injured since October 7, most of whom are women and children, Israeli media rarely addresses this suffering in a humane or professional manner. It is noted that the prevailing media discourse adopts a "security profiling" strategy, portraying every Palestinian in Gaza as a potential threat, implicitly justifying targeting them, even if they are children, sick, or displaced.

In this context, the statements of the Israeli army spokesperson, Avichai Adraee, were repeated in media outlets such as "Ynet" and "Channel 12," justifying the targeting of civilian homes as "military sites for Hamas," without providing concrete evidence. In late August 2025, Israeli forces launched an airstrike on the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, resulting in several casualties, including journalists. The Israeli army justified the attack by claiming that Hamas surveillance equipment was present inside the hospital, but subsequent journalistic investigations revealed that this equipment was part of filming tools used by international journalists to document events. This type of discourse is a model of media framing that legitimizes killing and strips victims of their humanity.

Israeli media also deliberately ignores displaying images of Palestinian victims or narrating their stories, in contrast to the intense focus on scenes of sorrow in Israeli settlements. This bias in coverage entrenches the monopoly of the narrative and excludes the Palestinian narrative from the public sphere, which is a form of media colonialism. In rare cases, Palestinian victims are mentioned, but this is often used in a justificatory context. For example, in coverage by the newspaper "Israel Hayom" on January 3, 2024, it was reported that "the killing of civilians in Gaza is regrettable but necessary to achieve the goals of the war," in a clear expression of legitimizing mass killing under the guise of self-defense.

This media discourse is not limited to ignoring victims; it extends to justifying the targeting of journalists themselves, who are supposed to convey the truth. Since the outbreak of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Gaza Government Media Office has documented the martyrdom of 225 Palestinian journalists at the hands of the Israeli army by mid-September 2025, a toll considered the highest globally in the history of modern wars against journalists. International organizations such as the Committee to Protect Journalists, "Forbidden Stories," and the United Nations have confirmed that many of these journalists were killed while covering events, during direct targeting of media offices, or even while at home with their families. These numbers not only reflect the scale of losses in the Palestinian journalistic body but also reveal a systematic pattern in targeting media professionals, in a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, which is supposed to provide them with special protection during armed conflicts.

In contrast, some media platforms have adopted an explicit inciting discourse, exceeding the limits of mobilization to direct calls for violence and extermination. Israeli Channel 14, for example, aired statements by broadcaster Shimon Riklin on November 10, 2023, in which he said: "Everything left of the infrastructure in

The Israeli army arrests the mayor of a Palestinian village in the northern West Bank.

The Israeli army arrested the mayor of Qarawat Bani Hassan, Ibrahim Asi, on Saturday evening, west of Salfit city in the northern occupied West Bank, along with another Palestinian during a raid on the village.

Palestine TV reported that the occupation forces arrested the mayor of Qarawat Bani Hassan, Ibrahim Asi. A local agency also reported that the army arrested a bulldozer driver named Ghaleb Rayan and confiscated a bulldozer and a crane during the incursion.

The reason for the arrest was attributed to an attempt to remove a concrete block that the army had placed at the entrance of the town, which caused traffic accidents and obstructed traffic flow.

It was noted that the Israeli forces also placed an iron gate and concrete blocks at the entrance of the village, which narrowed the road and made it difficult for vehicles to pass in both directions.

With the onset of the ground war... open scenarios and displacement towards the unknown.

Dr. Dalia Arikat: Stopping Israeli crimes requires genuine international will through simultaneous actions on humanitarian, legal, and political levels

Majid Hdeib: We are heading towards a new Gaza with no stones or people unless the United Nations and Arab and Islamic countries act seriously to stop the aggression

Mohammed Joudeh: The most likely scenario is a bloody war of attrition, and while Israel may show fire superiority, it will drown politically and humanely in the Gaza quagmire

Dr. Jamal Harfoush: Stopping the bleeding in Gaza is a moral issue, and activating international law can break the logic of power and open the way for human security and reconstruction

Suleiman Basharat: The upcoming UN session may represent a historic opportunity to issue a resolution obligating Israel to stop its aggression; otherwise, the war will continue

Hossam Abu Nasr: A breakthrough must be made in the American arena through individual and institutional efforts to change some positions and pressure Israel to stop the genocide

The Israeli genocide war on the Gaza Strip has entered a more dangerous phase with the launch of the ground military operation, where Palestinians face a bloody escalation that threatens a new wave of mass displacement reminiscent of the Nakba, while possibilities lean towards open scenarios amid international silence.

This escalation, according to writers, analysts, specialists, and university professors in separate conversations with "Al-Quds," is inseparable from political and ideological dimensions through which Israel seeks to impose a new reality on the ground that serves its expansionist settlement project, in the absence of serious international and Arab pressure to stop the aggression. They point out that the expected scenarios range from a long war of attrition, to imposing a conditional humanitarian ceasefire, or even the expansion of the conflict regionally, threatening the stability of the entire region.

Writers, analysts, specialists, and university professors believe that stopping the genocide against Palestinians will not be achieved through statements of condemnation, but through real legal, diplomatic, and economic pressures, including imposing sanctions, activating international accountability tools, and launching a political track that places the life and rights of the Palestinian people at the heart of any future settlement.

The danger of mass displacement and the reproduction of the Nakba

Dr. Dalia Arikat, a professor of diplomacy and conflict resolution at the Arab American University, confirms that the ground operation launched by Israel in the Gaza Strip has opened the door to multiple scenarios, the most dangerous of which is mass displacement and the reproduction of the Nakba.

Arikat explains that the Israeli incursion translates into enormous human and material costs, causing massive destruction and demolition of buildings, internal displacement, and loss of basic services, without achieving a real military resolution for Israel.

She points out that the continuation of operations and intense bombardment may push tens of thousands, and perhaps hundreds of thousands, of Palestinians to forced displacement southward or towards the Egyptian border, which poses an existential threat to Palestinian national identity.

Arikat warns of the dangers of the conflict expanding regionally if confrontations extend to Lebanon, Syria, or the Red Sea, which threatens to destabilize the security and economic stability of the region.

She clarifies that there is a possibility of imposing a relatively long humanitarian ceasefire that turns into a conditional ceasefire, involving the exchange of prisoners and detainees and opening crossings for aid under international supervision, but without addressing the roots of the conflict or launching a serious political track.

A negotiating path with multilateral guarantees to gradually end the occupation

Arikat sees that the best strategic scenario is to open a negotiating path with multilateral guarantees to gradually end the occupation; however, this option remains the most difficult under the current balance of power.

She emphasizes that ground wars in Gaza do not lead to resolution but to "painful stagnation," asserting that stopping Israeli crimes requires genuine international will through simultaneous actions on humanitarian, legal, and political levels.

On the humanitarian front, Arikat calls for stopping the use of weapons of mass destruction in populated areas, opening crossings without restrictions to deliver aid, restoring basic services, in addition to exchanging prisoners and patients through a reliable mediation, and deploying an independent field monitoring mechanism to document violations.

On the legal front, Arikat stresses the need to activate accountability tools in the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice, impose targeted sanctions on those responsible for war crimes, and suspend arms exports to Israel, linking it

Blair's Plan: The Return of Colonialism Through the Gateway of Investment in Death and Destruction

Sinan Shqideh: Non-Palestinian proposals regarding the "next day" are limited to two visions: an international "constructive" one proposed during the Biden administration and a "deconstructive" one put forth by Trump.

Silvia Abu Luban: Blair's plan states that "Gaza is for Gazans," but the problem lies in that it grants international guardianship greater authority than the Palestinian Authority itself.

Shadi Al-Sharfa: Colonialism is renewing itself in its form; after the Sykes-Picot division of influence between empires, we now see a distribution among multinational corporations.

Dr. Ahmed Rafiq Awad: Blair's plan seems fanciful and has colonial objectives, based purely on an economic vision considering the Gaza Strip as "real estate" that can be invested in.

Mu'in Awda: The fate of such initiatives will be determined by the results of the ongoing war, making any plan without a clear political solution doomed to failure.

Tawfiq Ta'ma: The plan is closer to the New York document and not an extension of Trump's project, which aims for a radical demographic and economic change in the sector.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's plan for the post-war phase in the Gaza Strip has a mandate from U.S. President Donald Trump and sparks regional and international debate. Blair began preparing the plan in the early months of the war as a framework for the post-war phase, or what is called the "next day." However, it later evolved to also become a basis for ending the war, after the Trump administration concluded that reaching an agreement with the main parties on who will govern Gaza is a key step towards achieving a permanent ceasefire and concluding a swap deal, as clarified and stated by several U.S. officials.

Writers and analysts in conversations with "Al-Quds" believe that Blair's plan shares with its predecessors that it is not an official document, but rather ideas based on consultations with regional and international parties. It attempts to be a bridge between "Trump's Riviera," which derives the idea that the current situation is unsustainable and that there is a need to completely rebuild the system, and the "New York document," which maintains the general political framework represented in the two-state solution and a role for the Palestinians but under long and complex reform conditions. However, they warned that despite the plan's claim that "Gaza is for its people," sovereignty is deferred and conditional, granted only after a series of reforms and criteria set by others. In contrast to this technical framework, there is a stark contradiction with the New York Declaration, which spoke of irreversible steps towards a Palestinian state and ending the occupation.

Dealing with the future of the Palestinian people as a "Lego" game

American affairs analyst Dr. Sinan Shqideh believes that "all non-Palestinian proposals regarding what is called the 'next day' treat the future of the Palestinian people as if they are dealing with a 'Lego' game, limited to two visions: the first is an international 'constructive' one proposed during the previous U.S. administration under President Biden, and the second is a 'deconstructive' one put forth by the current U.S. administration."

He pointed out that between the proposals of deconstruction and construction of the Palestinian "Lego" came what is called Blair's plan, marketed by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, attempting to create impossible common denominators between the "construction" and "deconstruction" teams of the same board, at the same time.

Shqideh confirmed that "the reconstruction plan is proposed by the New York document, which is based on the classical approach supported by international will, including the previous U.S. administration, the European Union, and the United Nations," explaining that its essence is based on the unity of the West Bank and Gaza under the rule of the Palestinian Authority, with the enhancement of its capabilities to enable it to govern, and to revive the two-state solution as a final political horizon, noting that it is not an official document as much as it is an analytical definition indicating the position or collective vision adopted by traditional international diplomacy.

He added: "The plan emphasizes the partnership of the international community through the revival of the Quartet with a central role in sponsoring the political process and financing the reconstruction of Gaza and building the institutions of the Palestinian state," affirming the plan's rejection of any demographic change or permanent occupation in the West Bank or Gaza.

In response to the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip: Italy excludes Israel from the international tourism exhibition.

The Italian authorities have decided to exclude Israel from participating in the international tourism fair "TTG Travel Experience 2025," scheduled to be held in Rimini from October 8 to 10, following pressure from the city's municipality due to the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The Mayor of Rimini, Jamil Sadghoulwad, explained that the decision was made due to security concerns and the risk of protests and growing tensions in Italy because of the aggression against Gaza, noting that allowing Israel's participation would turn the event into a large protest venue.

For its part, the organizing company of the fair, Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), announced that the conditions for the participation of the Israeli tourism authority are no longer valid, confirming that Israel's presence in the exhibition halls has become "morally and professionally inappropriate" in light of the ongoing war and destruction in Gaza.

The occupation is using a new mechanism to destroy Gaza.. Explosions are causing earthquakes with a magnitude of 3.7 degrees.

The Hamas movement stated on Saturday that the Israeli occupation army is using explosive-laden drones carrying tons of explosives with the aim of exterminating civilians and destroying residential neighborhoods in Gaza City, as part of the genocide it has been committing in the sector for nearly two years.

It added in a statement that "the occupation army drives the explosive-laden vehicles deep into residential neighborhoods and then detonates them to create the widest area of destruction and killing," indicating that human rights organizations have documented the detonation of about 120 vehicles in one week, loaded with hundreds of tons of explosives.

The Hamas statement confirmed that "the world is witnessing horrific crimes committed by the war criminal government (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, including the attempt to destroy Gaza City and displace its residents under the weight of massacres and bombardment, and the use of various means of killing and extermination, foremost among them the explosive drones."

It also called on the international community, Arab and Islamic countries, and international institutions to "take immediate action to stop these crimes and take practical steps to deter the occupation and hold its leaders accountable for what they have committed against the Palestinian people and humanity."

For its part, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated in a statement that the occupation army detonates more than 17 explosive-laden vehicles daily in Gaza City, "each of which is equivalent to an earthquake of 3.7 degrees on the Richter scale."

The monitor, based in Geneva, clarified that "the Israeli occupation army detonated about 120 explosive-laden vehicles carrying approximately 840 tons of explosives among the residential homes in Gaza City during the past week."

The Israeli occupation continues its intensive bombardment of neighborhoods in Gaza City, especially the western areas crowded with displaced persons coming from the eastern neighborhoods after the extensive destruction carried out by the Israeli forces there, coinciding with the execution of demolition operations of residential facilities in the northwestern neighborhoods.

On the eighth of last month, the Israeli government approved a plan proposed by Netanyahu to gradually reoccupy the Gaza Strip entirely, starting with Gaza City, which is home to about one million Palestinians.

With American support, the occupying state has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 65,208 martyrs and 166,271 injured, most of whom are children and women, and a famine that claimed the lives of 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.

Settlement expert: Imposing permits for entering Palestinian villages is a mini scenario of what will happen in the West Bank.

The settlement expert Khalil Tafkaji stated that the Israeli occupation is working to geographically dismantle Palestinian cities and villages in the West Bank by subjecting residents to security permits that restrict their daily activities, noting that the imposition of permits for entering villages in occupied Jerusalem is part of the preparation for expulsion.

It is mentioned that the Israeli occupation forces have imposed on the residents of the towns of "Beit Iksa," "Nabi Samuel," and "Al-Khalayla neighborhood," northwest of occupied Jerusalem, the requirement to obtain permits to enter them, while continuing their incursions into several areas in the occupied West Bank, and carrying out extensive raids and arrests.

Based on this decision, those without a permit will not be able to cross the military checkpoint at the entrances to the three villages, in a move to subject them to occupation control, and to consider their residents as inhabitants rather than landowners.

Tafkaji clarified that no one will be able to enter the Palestinian village of "Beit Iksa," located in the northwest of Jerusalem, except after obtaining security approval from the Israeli sovereign authorities, which complicates the ability of Palestinians from other villages to visit their relatives or acquaintances from the village.

As for the village of "Nabi Samuel," which has a population of no more than 150 residents, Tafkaji noted in his statements the history of the village, which was turned into a nature reserve after being destroyed by the Israeli occupation in 1972, and then its lands, which amounted to about 3,500 dunams, were confiscated in 1995.

The village of "Al-Khalayla," a small population center surrounded by Israeli settlements, is also subjected to what the settlement expert described as a "process of expulsion," and it is now "under complete Israeli military sovereignty."

Tafkaji describes the scene in Al-Khalayla as a "miniature scenario of what will soon happen in the West Bank," as the occupation exerts the utmost forms of pressure on the village residents in carrying out their daily activities.

According to the expert, a Palestinian residing in the village must obtain two permits, one when leaving his workplace and another when leaving his residence.

Regarding the coincidence of the Israeli decision concerning the three villages with the start of United Nations talks that will witness recognition of the Palestinian state scheduled for next Monday, the settlement expert ruled out that the occupation's measures are a calculated step to place obstacles in front of the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Tafkaji explained that any recognition of the Palestinian state now does not bring anything new to the Palestinian cause, affirming that the occupation has indeed managed to restrict this state and build its settlements on it, clarifying that the Israeli occupation has created geographical gaps between Palestinian cities and villages, especially in the West Bank.

Prominent Israeli academic: The Gaza war is doomed to failure despite military superiority.

An article published by a newspaper estimated that the war against the Gaza Strip is doomed to failure, despite what appears to be military superiority on the ground, emphasizing that "Israel" is paying a heavy price on various political, strategic, social, and economic levels.

Professor Boaz Ganor, head of "Reichman University," mentioned that the "Iron Swords" war, which erupted following the attack on October 7, 2023, began as a "justified" war but turned into a costly and destructive optional war.

Ganor added that while "Israel" may seem militarily superior in Gaza, it is suffering a resounding defeat on all other strategic levels, explaining that each additional day of fighting imposes a heavy toll.

The West Bank.. Israel imposes special permits on Palestinians from two villages and a neighborhood.

On Saturday, Israeli authorities imposed on Palestinian residents in the "Khalayla neighborhood" and the villages of Beit Iksa and Nabi Samuel, northwest of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank, the requirement to obtain special permits for entering and exiting their areas, a move that citizens described as deepening the policy of isolation and restricting movement.

The official Palestinian news agency reported that "Israeli occupation authorities imposed on the residents of the Khalayla neighborhood and the towns of Beit Iksa and Nabi Samuel, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, the requirement to obtain special permits to move to and from their villages, in a step that deepens the policy of isolation and restricts movement and control over the land."

The three villages suffer from near-total isolation due to the construction of the separation wall and the military checkpoints and gates surrounding them, which has deprived them of natural urban expansion, as their residents are prohibited from building new homes or bringing in essential supplies.
