Islamic Jihad to "Al-Quds": The resistance is comfortable on the ground and politically, and the occupation is begging for calm

Ihsan Ataya, a member of the political bureau of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine and its representative in Lebanon, said on Friday that the Al-Quds Brigades are managing the current battle with competence at the level of control and control, despite its loss of martyr leaders, and they have no problem with the timescale of this battle.

Ataya confirmed in an interview with Al-Quds.com that the resistance in Gaza imposes and proves the power equations that it established years ago, noting that "the political level that manages the talks is keen to prevent the enemy from achieving its goals, and will not agree to a cease-fire at any cost." .

In response to a question about whether the coming hours will bear a declaration of a cease-fire, Attaya said that the talks are still ongoing, and all possibilities are open, pointing out that the Israeli occupation is begging for a cease-fire from the mediators, at a time when the resistance feels comfortable on the ground and temporally, even on the political level.

He said: "The enemy cannot put pressure on the resistance in Gaza as it did in previous battles, because it realizes the price it will pay in the event of expanding the confrontation, which will be met by the expansion of the fire pit by the resistance, and the occupation will not bear a long-term confrontation, so the longer we extend the time period, the more it hurts it." More, and therefore the first response was the psychological warfare that made the enemy await this response for a whole day, or even more, and its movement was paralyzed, and the settlements in the Gaza border became empty, and all of this is an achievement recorded for the resistance and its effective tactics.

Attaya added, "The current problem is with the Israeli occupation, which always reneges on understandings and does not fulfill promises, and no one in this world can oblige it to what it declares its commitment to, and this problem exists with the enemy," noting that the resistance in this round imposed its strength and was able to strengthen the deterrence equation. An important style and tactic in managing the battle.

Regarding the conditions of resistance, the member of the Political Bureau contented himself with referring to the most prominent of them, which is stopping assassinations and obligating the occupation to this condition, indicating that dialogues are still ongoing about guarantees, and despite that, "the enemy does not believe in his side, breaks his promises, and does not abide by his pledges, and we are aware of that, but this does not stop us." To continue our battle on various levels, and to make every effort to achieve our goals, and our leadership manages this battle on the military and political levels with great strength, wisdom and sophistication.

And he considered that talking about calm and a cease-fire and delving into the details of the talks taking place at this stage confuses public opinion, which is asking us for more, and that it is important to focus on the achievements of the resistance and its ability to inflict losses on the ranks of the occupation, and the state of confusion it caused.

In response to a question about the failure of the Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad, Ziyad al-Nakhala, to the Egyptian invitation, and the absence of any comment from him since the beginning of the tour to the media, Ataya said: "The assessment of the situation is up to the Secretary-General."

Regarding what was rumored about the visit of an Egyptian delegation to Lebanon, Ataya implicitly denied this, and said: “There are media mouthpieces in the Zionist entity working to confuse, mislead and broadcast inaccurate information, and many interact with it through the means of communication, so it is important that our level of awareness rise in our battle.” media and politics to benefit from in the coming rounds.

In Lebanon, there are military and security personnel who engage in one or more second jobs to provide for their families

Samer's salary, a soldier in the Lebanese army, is no longer enough to provide him with the basic needs of his house, so he found the solution to work as a mechanic in addition to his military service, hoping to secure a better life for his young family amid the economic collapse ravaging the country.

Samer is one of the thousands of members of the army and security forces in Lebanon who are now practicing a second profession, to compensate for the low value of their salaries after the deterioration of the value of the national currency, although the military regulations prohibit this and their violators are subject to penalties.

However, in light of the economic collapse and the lira’s loss of nearly 98 percent of its value, the leadership of the military and security forces turns a blind eye to the issue, in order to allow its members to secure what the bankrupt state is unable to provide.

Samer, 28, who asked to use a pseudonym, told AFP, "The military establishment knows that we are working, but it turns a blind eye, because the soldier can no longer bear it."

Eighty percent of the population in Lebanon lives below the poverty line.

And the young man, who is currently working in a car repair shop run by his uncle in the city of Tripoli (north), one of the poorest cities on the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, added, "If we had not done that, everyone would have fled and not a single member of the army would have remained."

Samer, a father of a young child, joined the military when he was 19 years old, thinking that he would “guarantee his future,” with the continuity, medical care and social advancements offered by the job in the public sector in Lebanon, but the crisis turned his life upside down.

He explains, "My salary was equal to 800 dollars before the crisis, today I only get a hundred dollars," with the temporary increases and measures that were approved to support salaries.

Every week, Samer spends three days in his military service, and works for another three days in the workshop. However, his intake is "less than enough to provide food, drink, diapers and milk".

With the authorities unable to contain the crisis and the repercussions of the collapse of the lira, Qatar began in the summer of 2022 to provide financial support to the army in the form of financial assistance of $100 to its members for a period of six months.

And the United States took the same step, as it started last month, in coordination with the United Nations Development Program, to provide financial assistance in the amount of one hundred dollars per month over a period of six months to the members of the Internal Security Forces, provided that this applies to the army as well.

But in a country where inflation is huge and the exchange rate of the lira changes daily, aid makes no difference.

"At the end of the month, I don't even have a thousand pounds left with me," Samer says.

The economic collapse has put all sectors, including the army and security forces, in front of several challenges, most notably continuing to secure basic needs such as food, medicine, fuel, maintenance of equipment, and maintaining medical care at its level.

Since the beginning of the crisis, the army leadership has relied on austerity in its budget. For example, meat has been reduced from the military meals. Then, in 2021, it launched helicopter tours for civilians, in return for a fee.

After he tried to reconcile his military service with working as a waiter in a well-known restaurant near Beirut, Ahmed decided to flee the army and devote himself to his work.

"I grew up loving the military uniform. I still love it, but we suffocated," Ahmed, 29, a pseudonym, told AFP. Ahmed has spent ten years at the Foundation.

"I left the army because I found that there was no hope of survival," the young man explains, adding, "I felt as if I was living in the gutter. I only got better when I fled."

And after his military salary did not exceed the threshold of fifty dollars a year and a half ago, he now earns 450 dollars from his work as a waiter. Today, he is eagerly awaiting the birth of his first child.

The fields in which the soldiers work are varied, such as restaurants, bakeries, agriculture, hairdressing, taxi driving, construction, and even as private security personnel.

The army command did not respond to AFP's questions on the matter.

The same suffering applies to the security forces, whose situation appears to be more difficult than the military institution, which receives aid from several countries, most notably the United States, to confront the economic crisis.

A security source told AFP, "The Internal Security Forces turn a blind eye to the members' doing jobs aside, because there are no other solutions. The state is unable to improve their salaries and all the burdens, even school fees, are now in dollars."

"We are trying to help them as much as possible, but even the one hundred dollars provided by the United States is not sufficient in light of the current situation," he added.

The budget allocated for the treatment of security personnel is no longer sufficient, with the high cost of hospitalization, and hospitals receiving financial allowances in dollars.

The salary of Elie (37 years), a member of the Internal Security Forces and father of three children, today does not exceed the threshold of 50 dollars today, so he only joined his father to help him in the agricultural work, to provide additional income, albeit a little.

"The worst thing about it is that there is no doctor anymore, and if I break my leg during my shift, I have to bear the cost of treatment," Elie says.

"Simply put, our situation is abysmal," he adds.

The economic crisis, according to what Dina Araqji, a researcher at the Control Risks Center, explained to AFP, affected "the ability of the security services to work appropriately and the morale" of their members.

With the disregard for security and army personnel practicing other professions, the agencies' ability to "respond to the country's internal security needs is under threat," she says, in a country witnessing political division and stagnation affecting the work of all institutions.

Adidas intends to sell a portion of its Yeezy shoes and donate the proceeds to NGOs

The German company "Adidas", which specializes in sports equipment, intends to sell part of the "Yeezy" sports shoes that it manufactured in cooperation with the controversial rapper Kanye West, and donate the proceeds to non-governmental organizations, according to what the head of the group announced Thursday.

Last October, Adidas was forced to end its cooperation with West, after his anti-Semitic remarks, which prompted it to search for a solution for thousands of Yeezy sneakers, which had achieved great success over the years.

"We have been trying for four months to find a solution to the stock of Yeezy sports shoes, as burning the goods is not a solution," Adidas President Bjorn Golden said during a general meeting of the group.

He added, "After discussing with various non-governmental organizations and many organizations that were harmed by West, they all confirmed that getting rid of the shoes is not the most appropriate solution."

"What we're trying to do right now is sell some of the Yeezy shoes and donate the proceeds to organizations that help us and have also been affected by West's comments," he added.

And he added, "We do not yet know when and how we will accomplish this task, but we are working on it."

Logically, the rapper, known as Ye, is supposed to get a percentage of the sales.

At the end of March, the remaining stock of Yeezy shoes at Adidas was valued at 500 million euros, while its sale is likely to generate 1.2 billion euros.

Unfair positions that our people will not forget

Jerusalem Hadith

The United States of America and Britain are not satisfied with providing all kinds of military, political, diplomatic, scientific, and economic support, and much, much more. Rather, they have delayed issuing a statement condemning the occupying state for its aggression on the Gaza Strip, which led to martyrs, injuries, and the demolition of homes, in addition to the blockade it imposes. The Gaza Strip has been affected for more than 16 years and closed the crossings, which led to a shortage of foodstuffs, and the rescheduling of electricity distribution due to the non-arrival of the necessary materials for the production of electric power, which was reflected on the citizens who face all of this, in addition to the crimes committed against them under the guise of And under the pretexts of eliminating the leadership and elements of the Islamic Jihad, which seems to be bothering the occupying state because of its hostility towards it and the crimes committed by the occupation army and settler herds in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Although the occupying state was the one that initiated the aggression against the Strip, the United States of America and Britain do not see that the occupying state is escalating its attacks on the Palestinians, which threatens security and peace not only in the region but also in the world as a whole, due to the explosion of the situation in Palestine and thus in the region. It will have repercussions on the whole world.

Likewise, the United States of America and Britain do not care about the Palestinian civilians who were martyred during this Israeli aggression, among whom are children, women, and the elderly. With the exception of issuing statements of denunciation and denunciation that do not stop the brutal aggression and do not hold the occupying power accountable for these crimes against humanity, which are war crimes in all meanings and measures.

And instead of the two states, America and Britain, forcing the occupying state to stop its crimes that affected people, trees, and stones, by virtue of the support they provide to it, their position in the Security Council encourages the occupying state to continue its massacres against our people, whether in the West Bank or the Gaza Strip, so why double standards and support for the murderer? Continue killing?

What is required of all Arabs and Muslims is to define a clear position on America and Britain and to stop dealing with them, as long as they support the entity's state in aggression against our people.

The time has come for a firm stand against America and Britain, which do not recognize the State of Palestine, and impede the punishment of the occupying power before international courts, especially before the war crimes court that it is committing against our steadfast people. Our people will remain a thorn in the side of America, Britain and the occupying state, and these crimes will not deter them from continuing their national struggle until the full realization of their national rights to the state and independence and the departure of the occupation from their land without return.

The positions of America and Britain are unfair, and our people will not forget them and will not forgive them, no matter how long or short the time is.

Humanization of education

Beautiful ghoul

Opinion Writer

When we think of education, bureaucracy, work hierarchies, and traditional stereotypical images of schools and universities usually come to mind, and we often evoke the image of blackboards, students, and teachers, images of traditional learning institutions built on domination and power that limit the possibility of creativity, thinking, and analysis, where words are emphasized rather than facts. And ideas, with an emphasis on logic rather than emotion, are in fact the belief among teachers that students benefit from more traditional teaching methods than sharing and dialogue. This is partly because it is easier for students to understand what is being taught when the material is organized so that they can memorize it and understand it clearly at every step, and then the students are evaluated based on their memorization of the material, as the Brazilian thinker Freire (1968) explains in his book Education of the Oppressed: What distinguishes indoctrination is its condescending tone and its inability to bring about change, and the students’ role is limited to memorizing, remembering, and repeating the sentences they heard without delving into their content, and it was called the term “banking education”, which is the deposit of the teacher - the active party - with what he has in the mind of the student, so he receives the information and keeps it. until it is needed at the time of the test; On this basis, the people who are enslaved are the ones who lack creativity, the absence of transformation and knowledge, and in the banking concept of education, knowledge here is a gift granted by those who consider themselves well versed in knowledge to those who consider them to know nothing...

Freire presents an alternative to banking education and stresses the need for humane education and educating students about themselves and their capabilities and transferring them from the negative field to the active field so that the individual can express himself freely and courageously, with strength and think critically, instead of submitting to the instructions of others and reducing their value and ideas, but rather through dialogue Permanent with the other and critical analysis. Through emancipatory education, we provide a place for freedom, self-understanding, and capabilities. It is a new system that Freire called “problem solving.” A system based on hope, love, and humility. Education with love is a central idea in the process of acquiring knowledge. Therefore, the essence of educational development is success that stems from love and hope, because this is necessary to obtain solidarity and participation in order to change oppressive ideologies and practices in public education.

What distinguishes banking education from problem-solving education:

Banking education resists dialogue, but problem-solving education considers dialogue an important matter.

- Banking education treats students as auxiliary tools for education, while education that depends on solving problems makes them active thinkers.

- Education depends on solving problems on creativity and stimulates realistic thinking and real work, and therefore it is an authentic work that depends on the truth of the word. Banking education is an education that depends on dominance. .

- Banking education is an education whose outputs come in the form of stereotyped and repeated patterns of human beings.. that contribute to perpetuating the status quo with all its disadvantages and disadvantages.. so that society can hardly be liberated from the captivity of those models and images that are fixed and reproduced one from the other.

Freire stressed that dialogue helps students develop a critical awareness of social, political and economic contradictions so that they can take action against those who oppress them.

In conclusion, it is not possible to change the conditions and lives of students without changing the methods and methods of education

Education with humanity is an essential element in establishing social democracy and achieving social justice.

Halima returned to her old habit

Fathi Ahmed

Fathi Ahmed

Opinion Writer

Halima is said to be the wife of Hatim al-Ta'i, who was famous for his generosity. As for her, she was famous for being stingy, so if she wanted to put ghee in cooking, the spoon trembled in her hand. It is said that she did not even put ghee in the cooking, and the master of the generosity did not like that, her husband. So Hatim wanted to teach her generosity, so he said to her: The ancients used to say that every time a woman put a spoonful of ghee in the cooking pot, God increased her life by one day, and the gray hair decreased in her head. The only one whom she loved more than herself, she was so frightened that she wished for death, so she began to reduce the use of ghee in cooking so that her life would shorten and she would die, so people said: “Halima has returned to her old habit.” Halima’s story is different from what the occupation thinks, there is no similarity between them. In their view, all of them are profitable adventures, for the generosity they have in tons to increase the life of their state is a metaphor for the greater the volume of their operations against the Palestinians, in their view, the more the state will live, so the occupation government has returned again to the policy of assassinations against activists from the Islamic Jihad movement, which recently led to the martyrdom of less than sixteen A martyr in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and while the world is trying to cool the region down, Netanyahu and the right-wing government are continuing their policy of liquidation and exclusion of the other.

The trick was the occupation
Successive Israeli governments have frozen the policy of assassinations, but it has reared its head again, as a method to deter and intimidate the Palestinian factions from the consequences of repeated rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, despite the intervention of mediators to bridge the rift. This is why the recent assassinations came to export the internal crisis in Israel, and after the President of The occupation government came under harsh criticism from his government's coalition from the far right about the lack of response to the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, such as Ibn Gvir and Smotrich, which prompted Netanyahu to resume the physical liquidation of activists from the Islamic Jihad organization. Bibi Netanyahu wants this behavior, which is to focus on elements of the Islamic Jihad , and distancing Hamas from the battle and neutralizing it, so that jihad would be an easy prey for it. As of writing this article, things are still calm on the outskirts of the Gaza Strip, with extreme caution on the part of the settlers who evacuated their homes for fear of reactions from the targeted organization.

The struggle continues
But the question remains, is the assassination that took place at dawn on Tuesday the end of the war between Islamic Jihad and the occupation government? There is no end to the conflict between the Palestinians of all stripes and the occupation, as long as there is an occupation perching on their chest, the confrontation continues, Israel is not interested at this particular time in cooling the West Bank front, not even Gaza, after two weeks there will be a vote on Israel's budget in the Knesset, and this requires That the Netanyahu government get 61 votes so that Netanyahu can pass the budget, and in the event that the quorum is not completed, then his government will be in danger, and therefore it will fall and new Knesset elections will be announced, and this is what Netanyahu does not want.

Support for the Netanyahu government declined

According to opinion polls, which indicate that the opposition is leading by a difference of seven to eight seats, this means the resounding fall of Netanyahu, and his being put on trial for corruption cases. In the event that the government is dissolved, some right-wing parties may not reach the threshold, or receive fewer votes, in addition to not being accepted into the opposition that tops the highest votes, if elections are held for the Knesset at the present time. So the Likud leader wants to hold the stick from the center first to preserve his coalition as much as possible, and secondly to satisfy the international community, and the best of them is bitter and difficult to achieve in light of the international community’s rejection of the policy of the extreme right in Israel. The current government of Israel may hold out in power for some time, but there are indications. On the contrary, including the right-wing insistence on amending the law, their insistence also on evacuating Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, and seeking to vote on a decision that requires the execution of prisoners, and many others. But this may not be in line with Netanyahu's policy, which is trying to be less extreme than religious Zionism, and he may break his silence and cannot. He endured the volume of internal and external pressures for a long time, and thus announces the date of new elections.

confessions of their leaders
Dr. Pinhas Yehezkili, a former head of the Strategic and Policy Research Department in the Israeli army, considers that the word assassination is "a euphemism for premeditated killing and extrajudicial execution" and that countries resort to this policy against parties they consider "terrorist" to achieve several goals ranging from purely military purposes such as Deterrence and preventing the implementation of an imminent operation, or what is described by Israel as a time bomb, in order to reach moral goals such as raising public morale, revenge, and responding to a painful operation. It is counterproductive and feeds into and expands the cycle of bloodshed and violence, and does not constitute a substitute for other means, in addition to its damage to Israel's image in front of world public opinion, and exposing Israeli officers and leaders to prosecution in international courts.

The Battles of the “Empty Bowel”: Irish and Palestinians

Asaad Abdul Rahman

Asaad Abdul Rahman

Opinion Writer

The death of the prisoner Khader Adnan in the prisons of the Israeli occupation is an occasion to talk about the weapon of the hunger strike. The Israeli occupation knows the extent of the power of this weapon and the extent to which it can form international pressure on the Zionist state. Because the battle and the weapon of “empty bowels” is self-sacrifice for the sake of what is higher – the homeland. The prisoner loves life as you and I love it, and he is fully aware from the beginning that his love for Palestine may be crowned with martyrdom at any moment, yet he is determined to hold on to this weapon. It suffices for the martyr Khader to be proud that he has five hunger strikes, the first four of which ended with the taking of his freedom, and the last of which he snatched his freedom for the last time when he rose as a martyr. His strikes began in 2012 when he went on strike for 66 days, then in 2015 for 52 days, 2018 for 59 days, and 2021 for 25 days, all of which took away his freedom, and finally, 2023 for 86 days and he rose as a martyr.

The Palestinian people found themselves suffering under an occupation from which they seek liberation. Various types of struggles were imposed on them by many peoples. Although all kinds of struggles are interrelated and one cannot be separated from the other, in the sense that adopting armed struggle without political action leads to inevitable failure due to the lack of political cover, but the weapon of the hunger strike is certainly one of the most severe of them on the soul. The Irish struggle experience had risen to the highest levels in this regard, especially the strike of (Bobby Sands) and his comrades, whose anniversary falls on the fifth of May of each year. At that time, Sanders and other fellow youths died as a result of their hunger strike in 1981 as part of their campaign to obtain their right to be treated as “political prisoners.” Today, the case of Palestine is very similar. The Palestinian experience, and before it the Irish one, within the scope of the “empty bowels” battles, has become a lesson for every struggle to achieve liberation and self-determination.

These martyrs, the Palestinians and the Irish, headed by the martyrs Khader Adnan and Bobby Sanders, established the hunger strike as an expression of political protest, and a major shift occurred in the culture of peaceful resistance. They believed in their cause and prepared in advance to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the cause, so their experiences became an example of confidence in the ability to achieve what they wanted, and an example for generations who believe in the inevitability of victory.

These experiences and sacrifices may establish what is to come, which will be more determined and aware of the enemy, whose soldiers single out prisoners every second in the prisons of the occupation, while they face the policy of solitary isolation, collective punishments, and the refusal to improve the health status of hundreds of sick and injured, while they face a flagrant violation of their most basic human rights. They also face organized terrorism. And here is the “Committee of Administrative Prisoners in the Occupation’s Prisons” announcing its decision to launch an open mass hunger strike “in the coming days,” to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities in an attempt to achieve “positive results in the administrative detention file,” and to respond to the assassination of the prisoner Khader Adnan. And again, we call for more activation of the issue of Palestinian prisoners (children, women, and men) on the Arab, Islamic and international levels.

The unified national field resistance is a tried and realistic option

Wissam Rafidi

The ongoing clash so far in response to the assassination of the resistance leaders, the resistance that has been taking place for months in several locations in the West Bank, specifically in the north of it, and the field mass struggle for years and years, put forward in blood the option of field action and has become embodied as a reality/phenomenon, outside the framework of official factional coordination, and of course Except for the Gaza Strip. Unified field work, whether in the Jenin Battalion, the Lions' Den, or through the common room, has become a tool/mechanism that has become a symbol of the unity of the resistance fighters, and an effective alternative to division and displacement at the level of the official institution, I mean the institution of the organization and the political relations between the forces in general.

Years and years ago, many initiatives were put forward, and many agreements were signed to rebuild the organization and achieve national unity, the latest of which is the sincere initiative of the Algerian President, Tebboune, until we are (not attached anymore) as it is said, and yet the outcome is, without undesirable courtesy in this field, It is zero cubed as it is said again. It has become clear that the different orientations, visions, programs, and authoritarian interests have reached a point where it is difficult to bridge the gap between forces and factions. Nevertheless, the official Palestinian discourse continues to regurgitate the same slogans/goals that it has become clear that they will not be achieved, at least in the foreseeable time. With the self, do not pay any attention to it, that is, if you do not comment on it with sarcasm and mockery.

Against this repetition of the same slogans, the masses of our people dug the ideal choice on the ground and with the blood of its people: the choice of united national resistance in the field and in its many forms, of which we are now seeing the promising firsts as we went before: in the common room and in Nablus and Jenin. And before that, the arenas of unified mass action against the Zionist occupation, its practices and its barbarism also fueled this option: in the battles to confront the settlers, in the defense of Al-Aqsa, in Sheikh Jarrah and in solidarity with the struggles of the prisoners, which confirms not only the possibilities of developing this option towards a unitary structure in the field of resistance. Rather, there are many issues to unite around on the ground as an alternative to continuing to ruminate on slogans that cannot be imagined, at least in the foreseeable time.

Responding to the aggression and assassinations of leaders in the Gaza Strip, confronting the invasions, violations, and aggression against the cities and camps of the northern West Bank, rallying around the prisoners and their struggles in the face of the fascist Al-Azaar Ben Ghafir, confronting the pervasive settlement policy and the Judaization of Jerusalem, and many other issues that can be united on the ground around it.

The reality of the struggle against the occupation for years, and in parallel with the reality of the division and the failed attempts to end it, and for years as well, all of this begs the necessity of capturing the revolutionary initiative of the activists in the field and adopting their choice of unified national field resistance.

The symbolism of the United Nations General Assembly commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Nakba

Hani Akkad

Hani Akkad

At a time when the occupying state is trying to legitimize the Zionist occupation of Palestine and finish off the rest of the Palestinian land through colonialism and its legitimacy, as if it has the right to practice occupation and colonization, expel the Palestinians from their land, confiscate it, Judaize the sanctities, change its Arab-Palestinian-Islamic character, change the Christian character of all Christian sanctities and impose Israeli sovereignty over them. And at a time when the occupying power believes that the silence of the world is an authorization for it to change the map of the conflict and go against any real peace process that leads to achieving comprehensive security and stability in the Arab region and replacing real peace with the Palestinians with a false peace under the name of normalization and ending the conflict with some Arab and Islamic countries.

And at a time when the occupying state believes that the world has forgotten its crimes and all its massacres against the Palestinians since before the Nakba, May 15, 1948 until now, and the world has forgotten those international resolutions that consider the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land null and void and violate international humanitarian law and all human rights charters and treaties. And in contravention of all international laws in addition to the Fourth Geneva Convention , the General Assembly of the United Nations is preparing for a great and historic event in favor of Palestine and the justice of the cause of the Palestinian people in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Nakba .

Last November, the United Nations General Assembly voted on four pivotal decisions for Palestine, and the fifth is related to the occupied Syrian Golan. One of these decisions came with the vote of the United Nations General Assembly to commemorate the Palestinian Nakba in the United Nations General Assembly on the 75th anniversary of the fifteenth of May, and publish the archives and Testimonies related to this event, to be the first major and unprecedented international event in the world to be revived in the United Nations General Assembly, which is an international event in which many member states of the United Nations participate, confirming the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legality of the Palestinian national struggle in all its forms defined by international law and in zat Time is a message to the occupier who committed the crime of the Nakba and the displacement of thousands of Palestinians that his crime does not die and does not fade away by statute of limitations and the world has not forgotten it no matter how much the occupying state tried to portray itself as a victim, but this does not deceive many countries of the world that still believe in the Palestinian right and the importance of ending the occupation as a basic rule for any Stability in the Middle East and believes that the Palestinians have the right to resist the brutal Israeli occupation, which persists in violating all international laws and laws stage by stage and persists in committing crimes against Palestinian civilians, their land, their heritage, and their Islamic and Christian sanctities.

Israel did not hide its annoyance with this issue and could not prevent the severity of its anger and its fight against this event and to ask its friends and allies in the United Nations to boycott the event, as the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent letters to many countries around the world asking them not to participate in the event. The world disrupted this event and tried to influence the Secretary-General of the United Nations to cancel it, so we noticed the stormy atmosphere that prevailed in the last session of the Security Council that was held to discuss the situation in Palestine at the request of Russia, the President of the Security Council for this month. Gilad Erdan, the ambassador of the occupying Power to the United Nations, asked The United Nations postponed the session of the Security Council, which sits to discuss the situation in the occupied land, under the pretext that this coincides with the so-called Independence Day of the State of the Entity, and this was rejected by (Sergey Lavrov), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and sharp arguments took place with Mr. Riyad Al-Maliki, the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the ambassador of the occupying state mentioned some names Israelis killed in commando operations came in response to the various crimes of the Israeli occupation, then he lit a candle on the occasion of the so-called Israeli Memorial Day and left the session.

The event of commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Nakba in the General Assembly of the United Nations and the presence of (President Mahmoud Abbas) the President of the State of Palestine. The event and his important policy speech mean that the State of Palestine is a state that exists in the depth of the international system and has a large and important political presence, which requires broad international recognition of it as a state under occupation and what It calls for the world to correct its mistakes towards the Palestinians, recognize the right of the Palestinians to resist the brutal occupation, and requires a just solution to the conflict on the basis of ending the brutal occupation of the Palestinian land and establishing the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The displacement of thousands of refugees and the appropriation of their land must be at the forefront of the issues of resolving the conflict, such as the issue of Jerusalem, and that all international resolutions issued in this regard, the first of which is 194, must be implemented by returning the refugees to their land and compensating them for the years of pain, displacement and suffering in exile and isolation on the continents of the world. The issue of the conflict is in the forefront of international attention, despite many international events at this time, and this would keep the Palestinian issue and the issue of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict alive and would restore international demands for the need to implement the decisions of international legitimacy, the most important of which are those decisions that were issued to nullify occupation and colonialism together.

This event means that the Palestinian issue and conflict issues impose themselves on the world at all times and at all times, and no matter how preoccupied the world is in many issues. All members of the United Nations with similar activities, and this also encourages the free world to hold accountable and prosecute the leaders of the occupation for all the crimes they committed against the Palestinians, and these crimes will not be forgotten by the statute of limitations. A generation in the camps is witnessing the crime so far.

Erdogan's main opponent accuses Russia of resorting to electoral fraud

Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the main opponent of Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the presidential elections to be held on May 14, on Thursday accused Russia of resorting to a "deep rigging technique" in the context of the electoral campaign.

Kilicdaroglu's accusations came hours after another candidate, Muharrem Ince, announced his withdrawal from the electoral race after becoming the target of an online defamation campaign.

"Dear Russian friends, you are behind the montages, conspiracies, forgeries and recordings that were exposed yesterday in this country," Kilicdaroglu wrote on Twitter.

He added, "If you want our friendship after May 15, do not touch the Turkish state. We always support cooperation and friendship."

Opinion polls show the secular opposition leader slightly ahead of Erdogan in Sunday's presidential elections. If none of the candidates receives more than 50% of the vote, a second round will be held on May 28.

On Thursday, the head of the "Watan" party, Muharrem Ince, announced his withdrawal from the presidential race, after he became the target of a defamation campaign on the Internet, which included, in particular, fake photos of him accompanied by women or sitting behind the wheel of a luxury car.

Iraq informs Türkiye of resuming its oil export operations through the Turkish port of Ceyhan

Iraq has informed the Turkish authorities of the resumption of Iraqi oil exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, starting next (Saturday).

Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani said in a statement today (Thursday) that "the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) informed the Turkish company (BOTAŞ) to resume export and loading operations as of Saturday, May 13."

Abdul-Ghani indicated that the conclusion of contracts with international companies for the sale and marketing of Iraqi crude oil from the Turkish port of Ceyhan has been completed, according to the mechanisms adopted by the Iraqi company (Sumo).

Turkey stopped the flow of Iraqi oil through the pipeline of the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq - Ceyhan -, after a ruling was issued by the International Chamber of Commerce on March 23, obligating Turkey to pay $1.5 billion in compensation to Iraq because of Ankara's permission to pump Kurdistan's exports for the period from 2014 to 2018.

It is noteworthy that Turkey, in response to the ruling, for its part, stopped the flow of Iraqi exports amounting to 450 thousand barrels per day.

Last April, the Iraqi government reached a preliminary agreement with the Kurdistan Regional Government in northern Iraq to resume oil exports from northern Iraq.

Iraq relies on the export of crude oil in preparing the country's general budget by up to 95 percent.

The two parties to the Sudanese conflict agree on humanitarian rules without agreeing to a truce

On Thursday night, the two parties to the conflict in Sudan signed a declaration pledging to respect rules allowing for the provision of humanitarian aid, without yet reaching a ceasefire agreement, in negotiations described by US diplomats as difficult.

Representatives of the army led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hamidti, reached this declaration after about a month of fighting that killed more than 750 people and displaced thousands, within the framework of “preliminary talks” with the participation of the United States and the United Nations that began last Saturday. in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

"We affirm our commitment to ensuring the protection of civilians at all times, and this includes allowing safe passage for civilians to leave areas of active hostilities on a voluntary basis in the direction of their choice," the declaration said.

The US official familiar with the talks announced that the two sides had signed a "declaration of commitment to protect civilians in Sudan."

And she explained that the two parties, according to this declaration, are committed to general principles to allow humanitarian aid to arrive, to restore electricity, water and other basic services, to withdraw their personnel from hospitals and to allow the dead to be buried with "dignity."

The official, who asked not to be named, confirmed that the talks are continuing to reach a cease-fire, speaking of a proposal for a truce for ten days.

She explained that what the two parties agreed upon "is not a cease-fire. It is an affirmation of their obligations under international humanitarian law, especially with regard to the treatment of civilians and the need to provide space for work" of those concerned in the humanitarian field.

The official expressed a "cautious" hope that the signing of this declaration by the two parties "will contribute to establishing a momentum forcing them to provide space" for the entry of humanitarian aid, although she acknowledged that a "far" distance still separates the two parties in the talks.

Negotiations will continue to reach a new temporary truce that allows the delivery of aid, which may last up to ten days, according to a statement issued by the US State Department.

At least 18 humanitarian workers have been killed since the war began on 15 April.

Several UN agencies and NGOs announced a temporary suspension of their work in Khartoum and Darfur due to the fighting. Her work has subsequently resumed in some areas, but she says she faces constant violence.

The United Nations World Food Program had reported that food aid worth millions of dollars had been looted in Khartoum.

For its part, the Forces for Freedom and Change, the former civilian component of the Sudanese government, considered the signing of this declaration "an important first step towards ending the war that has been going on in the country since April 15," and urged the two parties to "strictly and seriously adhere to what was agreed upon."

The tripartite mechanism consisting of the United Nations, the African Union and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) also welcomed the declaration.

"This is an important first step towards alleviating human suffering and protecting the lives and dignity of civilians in Sudan," it said in a statement.

The two sides agreed for the first time on means to monitor violations of any truce reached, officials said.

A second US official said the negotiations were "very difficult" and acknowledged that both sides may have ulterior motives by monitoring the ceasefire.

"Frankly, there is some hope on both sides that the other side will be seen as the perpetrator," he added.

But he noted that the length of time mediation took would at least make the cease-fire more "effective" if one was reached.

And in 2021, Al-Burhan and Daglo were overthrown together in the coup of their civil partners, after they shared power with them since the fall of Omar Al-Bashir. However, differences soon emerged between the two generals and escalated, one of the most prominent reasons being the conditions for integrating the Rapid Support Forces into the army.

The violence began about a month ago after the Rapid Support Forces refused to implement the merger, as stipulated in a fragile agreement to complete a transitional process to civilian rule.

Diplomats and experts questioned whether the warring sides really wanted peace or were more interested in defeating the other.

On Thursday, the United Nations Human Rights Council voted narrowly in favor of strengthening monitoring of violations taking place in Sudan in light of the conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, despite the opposition of Khartoum and Arab and foreign countries.

And 18 of the 47 council members voted in favor of the resolution, while 15 opposed it and 14 abstained.

The resolution calls for an end to the violence and an expansion of the mandate of a UN expert specializing in Sudan to include monitoring violations "directly resulting from the current conflict," which is approaching its first month.

On Thursday night, Saudi Arabia, which played a central role in evacuating foreign civilians from Sudan, announced the full implementation of these operations for its citizens and nationals of friendly countries.

And the Saudi Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that the evacuations “included 8,455 people (404 citizens, and 8,051 people belonging to 110 nationalities), who were evacuated by a group of ships and planes” of the Saudi army.

Trump is challenging a jury's verdict that found him guilty of sexual harassment and defamation

Former US President Donald Trump moved on Thursday to challenge a jury verdict that held him responsible for the sexual harassment and defamation of writer E. Jean Carroll.

Trump's lawyers filed a notice of appeal with the US 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday afternoon.

Carroll accused Trump of raping her in the mid-1990s in the changing room of a Manhattan department store in New York City and later defaming her by accusing her of lying.

A jury earlier this week found Trump guilty of sexual harassment and defamation but found him not liable for rape. Carroll was subsequently awarded US$5 million in damages.

Trump called the verdict a "disgrace" and "a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time," describing the author's accusations as "a hoax and made up."

Carole's attorney, Roberta Capla, said she may file another lawsuit after the comments.

Trump, a Republican who held the White House from early 2017 to early 2021, announced his candidacy again for the presidency of the United States.

The most prominent of what the Hebrew newspapers dealt with about the round of fighting in Gaza

Hebrew newspapers still focus on the continuation of the military operation on the Gaza Strip front, and publish analytical reports by Israeli correspondents and military analysts about it.

And according to an analytical report by Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reporter, Elisha Ben-Kimon, under the title: "Not just Israeli deterrence: Why didn't Hamas join the round of fighting?!", in which he said that this is one of the big questions during the ongoing military operation in the Gaza Strip, claiming that The basic answer relates to Israeli deterrence, starting from carrying out assassinations, through harming the organization's infrastructure, and leading to greater damage to the infrastructure and structure of Hamas in the event that it enters the current round. In addition to that, there is also a "civilian world" built by Israel against Hamas, related to the measures taken. Such as the admission of workers to the Green Line, the millions of Qatari dollars that are allowed to enter each month, and the economic facilities through the crossings, all of which have become tools of pressure on the movement that controls the sector, and is evidence of the increasing cost of loss for it.

He points out that the entry of workers from the Gaza Strip to the Green Line generates millions of shekels per month for Hamas and the Strip, and the continuation of the current round and the closure of the crossings leads to a loss of up to 5 million shekels per day, and this prevents the completion of the construction of vital projects, including water purification and desalination, and the entry of fuel to the station. only electricity.

And he indicated that Israel uses the "cost of loss" policy against Hamas as well as the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, to try to deter the two sides in order to avoid taking steps that encourage the first to enter into any round of fighting, and the second to urge it to confront the armed groups in the West Bank and implement the understandings of the Aqaba Summit and others.

In another report in the same Hebrew newspaper, by its correspondent and military analyst, Yossi Yehoshua, he said that the fall of the missile in Rohovot yesterday, which led to the death of an Israeli woman, reaffirms that there is no tight and complete protection even with the presence of Iron Dome, and that there is no alternative to the defense policy, and that this serves as a reminder What would happen in the event of a multi- arena combat round against "enemies" with different and improved firepower. according to his expression.

Yehoshua believes that the "Islamic Jihad" movement is the weakest organization in the region, and that the current operation still stands out as one of the most successful security operations that highlight the intelligence and technological superiority in the operational arena, he said.

He added, "This is exactly what the doctor prescribed to Israel after the erosion of deterrence recorded in recent months on various arenas."

And he believed that the sudden opening strike by the Israeli army against the leaders of the jihad and the assassinations that followed, after accurate intelligence information, made the operation reverberate in several places, and if there is something that the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah fear in particular, it is the assassinations, which represent a deterrent factor in particular. And great, and when such operations are carried out in the midst of the operation and not only as a starting strike, such as what happened in the liquidation of the commander of the missile unit in Jihad and his deputy after hours, this is an operational achievement that is even more impressive. according to his expression.

He claimed that the Islamic Jihad Movement showed very weak capabilities in firing rockets, and that 20% of the more than 800 rockets that were fired fell inside the sector, considering that this is evidence that the strikes the movement received in recent years, especially Operations "Dawn" and "" Guardian of the Walls”, and before that the “Black Belt” robbed the movement of its offensive capabilities, and it was unable to restore it and fill its warehouses, especially since Egypt succeeded in closing the roads, while the Israeli army closed the sea route, and this prevented the smuggling of any missiles and weapons, to show that what it produced locally was poor quality. According to his claim.

Yehoshua says, that the Islamic Jihad movement, after the opening strike with the assassination of its leaders, lived in shock that made the organization wait 36 hours until it began to fire back the missiles, and that was preceded by an attempt to carry out an attack with an anti-tank missile, which was thwarted, and the organization is still looking for tactical action to end the round, which is the matter Which the Iranians are pressing for, and there is a prevailing belief in Israel that Ian is sabotaging the cease-fire by pressuring the leadership of the jihad abroad not to accept any agreement at the present time, and for the Iranians, accepting such an agreement would be a complete surrender to Israel after the jihad was exposed The Islamic Revolution was severely hit, which has not succeeded so far in achieving any achievement other than hitting the building in Rohovot, which led to the killing of an Israeli woman, which is her only achievement so far.

He adds, "Iran funds the jihad with tens of millions of dollars annually, and until this moment it realizes that investment is declining, and on the other hand, Egypt is pressuring the movement to accept a cease-fire, while Hamas remained sitting on the fence watching what is happening, as it is interested in a cease-fire." Fire to prevent damage to the economic reality.

He points out that despite the satisfaction of the Israeli army and the Shin Bet with the operation so far, they are preparing for the possibility of a surprise attack that could occur not only from Gaza, but also from the West Bank, noting that Israel has succeeded so far in separating the northern arena, and the "Hamas movement." Gaza, and the West Bank for the current round.

For its part, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz published many reports, and in one of them came Amos Harel, the correspondent and military analyst for the newspaper, in which he said, “The Israeli army’s operations, which have reached 15 since the withdrawal from the Strip, did not achieve the desired results, although it was not in some of them.” There is no choice but a military solution, indicating that the current round will not achieve different results.

Harel believes that Israel does not have a real solution to the plight of Gaza and the security risks posed by the Strip under Hamas rule, noting that all Israeli steps in the past few years aim to manage the conflict and delay the next explosion.

And he indicated that the successive Israeli governments that enter into rounds of fighting in Gaza hope that it will not be prolonged and that matters will not be complicated, and they expect that the military strike that the Palestinian organizations received will restore the balance of deterrence, in the sense that it will increase the chances of establishing calm, even if only for a few months.

He pointed out that there is a common way of thinking between the political and military levels in Israel regarding the Hamas movement, and that the real danger is currently represented by the Islamic Jihad, which tries every few months to ignite a conflict in the same sector, while Hamas prefers calm based on its considerations of setting fires in other arenas that are not subject to it. control, primarily Jerusalem and the West Bank.

He pointed out that the Israeli army sought more than once to clarify that Hamas is not actively participating in the current round, and therefore deleted from its statements the traditional oath to hold the movement responsible for what is happening in the Strip by virtue of its control over it, pointing out that the political and military echelons avoid discussing the issue of whether the separation Israel is between Hamas and jihad serves it, and whether this is not just a deception of the self, but in the end, despite all that Israel is doing, they understand even in Gaza that Tel Aviv prefers not to enter into a direct conflict with Hamas, especially since the latter succeeds in striking Israel through small organizations without paying the price itself.

For his part, Zvi Barel, an Israeli analyst specializing in Arab affairs, said in a report in Haaretz newspaper, "The decision to launch the operation against Islamic Jihad was taken away from the cabinet and its ministers because the assessments were that Hamas would not interfere, and knowing that its entry would mean a prolongation of the operation and that its effects would be greater." .

Barrell claimed that Hamas remained on the sidelines again, because it considers what is happening a kind of "settlement of accounts" between Israel and Islamic Jihad, noting that the movement that controls the Strip does not want to lose its economic privileges from Egypt, Qatar, and even Israel, which allows the entry of workers and facilitates Crossings work.

And he indicated that Hamas' failure to enter into the confrontation confirms once again that it is not completely in Iran's pocket, unlike the Islamic Jihad Movement, which is funded by Tehran, claiming that there is a division of opinion within the Hamas leadership about dealing with Iran and restoring relations with Syria, especially since Khaled Meshaal is supported by Qatar. He opposes this relationship and joining the Iranian sphere of influence in the region, and pushes for strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia and the Arab countries, allowing Hamas to lead Palestine after the era of Mahmoud Abbas, while Ismail Haniyeh believes that Iran and Hezbollah constitute an important factor in strengthening and financing the organization.

Barrell claims that these differences between Haniyeh and Meshaal have reached high levels for internal reasons, noting that Haniyeh will end his term as head of the Political Bureau in 2025, and Saleh al-Arouri, his current deputy and responsible for the attacks from the West Bank, and Yahya al-Sinwar, head of the Political Bureau in Gaza, will compete for his position. And who sees himself that he deserves a higher position after the experience he gained in his current position compared to Al-Arouri, but both of them have to convince the Shura Council of the organization why each of them deserves that.

He claimed that the differences still existed and emerged after a speech by Ismail Haniyeh on the Iranian International Quds Day, in which he showed his loyalty to Tehran, while Musa Abu Marzouk, the man who follows Meshaal's approach, came out in a quick tweet and wrote after that speech that Hamas does not belong to any axis.

He points out that Hamas's relationship with Syria has not yet developed, and it has not been allowed to open an office in Damascus, indicating that strategic decisions about the movement's political future are still taking place in a whirlwind of political power games internally and externally through each party's relations with regional powers. .

Barrell says that, despite all of this, Hamas is still committed to the policy of separating from the "unity of the squares" despite its presence in the joint operations room with Islamic Jihad, and for Israel, this is an appropriate situation that led in the past year to reduce the space of violent confrontation between it and the organizations, and it proved The same so far in the current round, however, the differentiation that Israel seeks between Hamas and Jihad requires continuous cultivation, which means not only preserving the current state of agreements with Hamas, but working to expand them by taking other steps to ease the siege and develop assets Civil and economic in Gaza to remain a factor affecting the organization's choice of confrontation with Israel. as he says.

In a news report by the newspaper, Haaretz claimed that the Israeli army estimates that the lack of a clear leadership in the Islamic Jihad makes it difficult to reach a cease-fire agreement, while things are much easier for Hamas because it has more of an institutional political arm than the Islamic Jihad.

The newspaper considered that the level of the number of missiles launched was about 800 in 3 days, which is less than the rate launched in one day by 1,000 missiles in the battle of "Al-Fajr" last August, which indicates a weak movement compared to recent years, including a series of attacks that targeted warehouses. The missiles and their production sites, in addition to the assassination of Ali Ghali, the missile unit commander, whom Israel has attempted to assassinate several times in recent years.

Haaretz said: After the previous and current assassinations, it is difficult for Islamic Jihad to fill the military ranks in its ranks, and those who replace those who have been assassinated are not at the level that Islamic Jihad would like to see in these positions, which creates problems of leadership and control in the organization. According to her claim.

According to the Israeli army, the Islamic Jihad possesses missiles of lesser quality than Hamas, as well as the quality of its missiles, pointing out that 10 missiles were launched towards Tel Aviv and its surroundings, of which 5 fell into the sea, and these missiles are less advanced and easy to intercept, according to the claim.

The newspaper pointed out that the residents of the Gaza Strip were disappointed that Hamas did not participate in the tour despite the fall of a large number of civilian martyrs, and they were also disappointed that the reality would change for the better due to the combat tours and Israeli attacks.

The newspaper claimed that the residents of the Strip believe that the complacency of Hamas in previous rounds is what prompted Israel to monopolize the Islamic Jihad.

While the right-wing newspaper Israel Hayom focused in its reports on international support for Israel in its operation, especially from the United States in the face of rocket fire from Gaza in recent months, it also focused on the fact that this pushes toward increasing the popularity of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

United Nations: shortage of goods in Sudan leads to higher prices

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said on Thursday that the fighting in Sudan, which has caused shortages of food, water, fuel and cash in some areas, has led to a nearly fourfold increase in prices.

At the same time, the World Health Organization warned of the continued vulnerability of health care facilities to attack and occupation by parties to the conflict, noting that in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, less than a fifth of health facilities are still operating at full capacity, and 60 percent of them are not fully operational.

The World Health Organization said that some health centers have reopened in the West Darfur region to provide treatment for emergencies, childbirth and chronic diseases.

The agency said that it is ready to send more than 110 tons of emergency medical supplies from Port Sudan to more than 13 destinations nationwide.

"We need urgent decontamination and safe passage to get these vital supplies to health facilities urgently needed for life-saving operations," the WHO said.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said more than 164,000 people have sought refuge across the border since the fighting began on April 15, including the Central African Republic, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Libya and South Sudan.

The International Organization for Migration estimates that 736,000 people have been displaced inside Sudan since the beginning of the conflict. Nearly 3.8 million people were already internally displaced within Sudan before the fighting began.

According to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), 82,000 children have fled to neighboring countries, while about 368,000 others have been newly displaced within Sudan.

UNICEF said that many of the communities receiving the displaced population have already been affected by multiple crises, with basic services already stretched and existing humanitarian capacity stretched.

The rainy season is expected to increase access challenges and increase disease risks.

UNICEF has also warned that the conflict is also disrupting cross-border trade and movement, while increasing the risk of food insecurity in vulnerable host communities.

Sweden seeks to include Wagner on the European Union's list of terrorist organizations

Sweden, which holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, announced Thursday its readiness to include the Russian Wagner Group, which is accused of committing violations in Ukraine and Africa, on the EU's list of terrorist organizations.

"Sweden is ready to work towards reaching a consensus within the European Union to put Wagner on the European Union's list of terrorist organizations as soon as the legal conditions are in place," Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Bilstrom told Dagens Nyheter.

On Tuesday, the French National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution calling on the French government to "mobilize diplomacy" to include the group in this list in order to punish Wagner members and their supporters more effectively, especially on the financial level.

The Swedish Foreign Minister added to the newspaper that "the Wagner Group committed terrible violations, especially in Sudan, Mali, Syria and Ukraine."

"For the group to be subject to EU sanctions related to terrorist organisations, a judicial authority or an equivalent competent national authority, such as a court or prosecutor, must decide to open an investigation against the group or charge it with" a terrorist act.

In March, the Lithuanian parliament adopted a resolution describing Wagner as a "terrorist organization", in a move welcomed by Kiev.

The foreign ministers of the 27 EU countries will meet Friday in Stockholm.

Updated || The resistance bombs "occupied Jerusalem" and "Israel" uses a "million dollar" defensive missile

The Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression against the Gaza Strip, throughout the hours of the night and Friday morning, while the resistance resumed its shelling of the settlements, and fired a missile salvo towards the occupied city of Jerusalem.

According to the Israeli army, two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip and were intercepted by the "David Sling" and "Iron Dome" systems, with each of them shooting down a missile, indicating that what fell in some areas were shrapnel of missiles and defense systems, and there were no injuries.

Israeli sources said that at least one rocket landed in the Bat Ayin settlement in the Gush Etzion settlement bloc near Bethlehem, while the dome intercepted two other rockets near Har Gilo, near Jerusalem.

The "David's Sling" or "magic wand" missile defense system costs one million dollars, and this is the second time that it has been used in the current round of combat.

The Israeli warplanes launched a series of air raids on agricultural and vacant lands during the hours of the night and this morning.

Several casualties were recorded as a result of the raids, which hit lands adjacent to citizens' homes.

The resistance resumed its firing of rockets after hours of stopping, as a shell landed in an agricultural greenhouse without any injuries inside the Eshkol complex.

Dozens of rockets were fired at Eshkol, Sderot, and the outskirts of Ashkelon, among others.

The state of anticipation and attention is still directed to Cairo, where contacts are taking place to try to reach a shooting.

And the number of Palestinian martyrs rose to 31 since dawn last Tuesday, as stated by the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
