Iran's foreign minister to his Emirati counterpart: Israel's presence in the region causes instability

Tehran - (dpa) - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said, in a phone call to his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed, that Israel's presence in the region "causes insecurity and stability."


And the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency (IRNA) reported today, Sunday, that the Emirati minister stressed that his country will not allow any subversive acts from its lands against its neighboring countries, and always takes into account the security of its neighbors.


The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of increasing bilateral meetings and consultations between the officials of the two countries, and considered it a ground for developing and expanding relations between them.


Amir Abdullahian added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran wants to maintain security and progress for its neighbors and the region, and it believes that the intervention and presence of foreigners harms the security of the region."


The Iranian foreign minister invited his Emirati counterpart to visit Tehran.
