A minister in the occupying government calls for the imposition of complete security control over the West Bank and Gaza, considering them part of "Israel."

In a statement reflecting the trends within the occupying government, the Minister of Energy of the occupation called for the necessity of imposing complete security control over all occupied Palestinian territories, considering the West Bank and Gaza Strip as an integral part of "Israel".

The occupation army radio reported on Sunday morning that Minister Katz said: "We need to control security in the entire entity of the occupation, including the West Bank and Gaza."

These statements, which represent a complete disregard for the principle of a two-state solution and Palestinian sovereignty, reaffirm the policy pursued by the current occupying government, which aims to entrench permanent security control over Palestinian lands.

Observers believe that such calls represent a blatant invitation to impose "de facto security annexation," undermining any future possibility of establishing a viable Palestinian state.

The Minister's call coincides with the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip and the serious escalation practiced by the occupation army and settlers in the occupied West Bank, including incursions into cities and villages, arrest campaigns, and home demolitions.

Prime Minister of the occupation Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials in his right-wing government have long asserted that the occupation entity will retain comprehensive security control over all lands located between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea in any future settlement, which is firmly rejected by the Palestinians and the international community.

These statements are considered a new confirmation that the current occupying government is not interested in any political path, but rather seeks to impose new realities on the ground aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and eliminating the dream of an independent state with its capital in Jerusalem.
