How did Israel obstruct reaching five agreements with American complicity that blames Hamas for the responsibility?

An investigation conducted by Israel's Channel 13 revealed the existence of a systematic mechanism of deception and obstruction practiced by Benjamin Netanyahu's government against the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza. The report highlights the complicity of the U.S. administration, which chose to blame Hamas despite knowing the truth.

The report documented Netanyahu and his far-right ministers, such as Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, obstructing at least five opportunities to reach an agreement that could have saved Israeli hostages and ended the war on the Gaza Strip at earlier stages.

The investigation relied on testimonies from former members of the Israeli war council, who confirmed that the political leadership intentionally lied to the public about the deals and spread misleading news about the negotiations even before they took place.

Most controversially, former U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller admitted that Washington was monitoring Netanyahu's government's attempts to obstruct the ceasefire negotiations, but chose to remain silent so that Hamas would not benefit.

Writer Hussam Shakir asserts that Netanyahu's government was interested in prolonging the war and that all talk of negotiations and conditions was merely a theatrical facade for a reality aimed at sustaining the war of starvation and extermination against the Palestinian people.

Writer Ihab Jabareen points out that Netanyahu exploited the weakness of the previous Biden administration's position and is now benefiting from the intersection of his vision with the current U.S. administration to enhance his political trajectory.

Former official Thomas Warick attempted to justify the U.S. position by focusing on short-term tactics, noting that both the Trump and Biden administrations blamed Hamas for the deaths of the hostages, not Israel.

Jabareen refutes the idea of focusing on tactics, emphasizing that discussing the beginning of the third year of the war transcends any tactical data to a strategic reality represented by the genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Jabareen confirms that this data indicates the empowerment of the Israeli occupation in Palestine, noting that the U.S. ambassador acts as if he is an Israeli ambassador in Palestine.

Despite the bleak scene, Jabareen sees possibilities for benefiting from this revelation, explaining that Netanyahu seeks to impose complete surrender agreements on anyone who opposes Israel.
