Today, Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a security discussion against the backdrop of increasing warnings of the possibility of carrying out attacks before and during the Jewish holidays that begin this weekend.
The meeting comes in preparation for the discussion that the mini-cabinet will hold next Tuesday, during which the focus will be on the decision of Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir to limit visits to Palestinian prisoners.
According to the Hebrew website Ynet, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, Ben Gvir, Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy, Shin Bet head Ronen Bar, and others will participate in the security discussion.
The Israeli security services oppose taking any measures against the Palestinian prisoners to prevent the situation from escalating.
