A Syrian soldier was wounded in an Israeli shelling near the city of Damascus late on Monday.
Syrian sources said that the bombing targeted the vicinity of Damascus Airport, some rural areas and in Al-Kiswah, and targeted sites associated with Iranian armed groups.
Israel has long targeted Iranian sites in Syria, though it officially denies this military action.
