The family of an Israeli soldier refuses the early release of the captive Daqqa

The family of the Israeli soldier Moshe Tammam, who was killed in 1984, in an operation in which the captive Walid Daqqa participated, refused to hold a session to consider his early release, despite his difficult health conditions.

According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the soldier's family opposes holding the session, and assigned a lawyer to try to prevent his release under any circumstances.

And the Hebrew newspaper confirms, quoting the Israeli Prison Service, that the prisoner, Walid Daqqa, is in a critical condition, and that his death may be announced at any moment.

Daqqa (62 years), a resident of the occupied territories, is serving a 39-year prison sentence, after he was sentenced to life.

Yesterday, Daqqa's lawyer submitted a request to hold a special session to consider his early release, but the request has not yet been approved.
