The captive movement confirmed, this evening, Wednesday, that one of the prisoners tried to attack an Israeli officer in "Megiddo" prison, in response to the assassination of Sheikh Khader Adnan.
The movement said: "A state of tension and confusion prevails in the prison."
For its part, the Israeli Prison Service said, "One of the prisoners tried to assault an officer during the evening count, and tear gas was used against the" rebels.
The Prisoners Authority had announced that the prisoners had kidnapped two policemen from "Megiddo" prison in Section 10 (Al-Maabar), Room No. 7.
