Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has rejected an offer to sign Neymar Jr., the star of Paris Saint-Germain.
And Le Parisien newspaper revealed that the Parisian club offered Neymar to City officials, as part of an exchange deal to sign Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva.
She added, "However, Guardiola rejected the idea of including Neymar, not to disturb the team's technical balance on the field."
The newspaper indicated that there is a struggle within the corridors of PSG over Neymar (30 years), as the club's owners and management want to sell him, while the player sticks to staying with the team.
She also added that Christophe Galtier, the new coach of Saint-Germain, welcomed Neymar's continuation to support his squad.
She pointed out that what constitutes an obstacle in the way of getting rid of Neymar is his huge annual salary, estimated at about 30 million euros.
