Palestinian prisoner institutions reported in a joint statement issued on Tuesday that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in occupation prisons has reached approximately 9300 prisoners and detainees.
The institutions indicated that the majority of this number are detainees and administrative detainees.
The statement clarified that these figures are based on what was reported by prisoner institutions and what was announced by the occupation prisons administration until the beginning of the current month of December.
The institutions emphasized that this number does not include detainees held in camps affiliated with the Israeli occupation army.
The number of convicted prisoners reached 1254 prisoners.
The number of female prisoners to date is 51 prisoners, including two children.
The number of child prisoners to date is 350 children, detained in "Ofer" and "Megiddo" prisons.
The number of administrative detainees reached 3350 detainees.
The number of classified detainees reached 1220 detainees, noting that this number does not include all Gaza detainees held in camps and classified under this category.
