Bashar Bahbah reveals a "final offer" made by Washington to end the Gaza war.

The Palestinian-American businessman Bashar Bahbah, the unofficial mediator between Hamas and the U.S. administration for President Donald Trump, revealed the behind-the-scenes details of a Washington meeting held a few days ago regarding ending the war in Gaza.

Bahbah stated in television remarks that "the meeting lasted 6 hours, and it was decided to put one final offer on the table for the release of all prisoners in exchange for ending the war," noting that "he communicated with Hamas regarding this matter, and they showed some hesitation because they do not know if the talk is official or unofficial."

According to Bahbah's claims, Hamas was convinced that the talk was official after Trump's post, indicating that "Hamas's reaction was immediate in agreeing to conclude a comprehensive deal for the release of all prisoners and the release of a number of Palestinian prisoners, while simultaneously ending the war."

He continued, saying: "No one knows if the prisoners will be released and the Palestinian detainees will be freed before the announcement of the end of the war, or before Israel withdraws from the sector, or simultaneously with the ceasefire and withdrawal process over a period estimated in weeks."

Hamas had reiterated its confirmation that it is still waiting for a response from the Israeli occupation regarding the proposal presented by the mediators to the movement on August 18, which the movement and the Palestinian resistance agreed to.

The movement expressed in a press statement its readiness to go for a comprehensive deal under which all prisoners of the occupation held by the resistance would be released in exchange for an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners held by the occupation, as part of an agreement that ends the war on the Gaza Strip, the withdrawal of all occupation forces from the entire sector, and the opening of crossings to bring in all the needs of the sector and start the reconstruction process.

Hamas indicated its agreement to form an independent national administration of technocrats to manage all affairs of the Gaza Strip and to assume its responsibilities immediately in all areas.

This position came in response to Trump's latest call regarding the release of all Israeli prisoners, as he wrote on his page on the "Truth Social" platform: "Hamas must immediately return all twenty prisoners, not 2 or 5 or 7, and things will change quickly and end."
