The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Eyal Zamir, officially announced on Wednesday the launch of "Gideon's Chariots 2," which aims to fully occupy the city of Gaza after surrounding it and displacing the Palestinians from it.
Zamir's announcement, which was reported in a statement from the Israeli army, comes despite Tel Aviv declaring last Friday that the city of Gaza is a "dangerous combat zone," and has already been conducting extensive airstrikes and demolition operations for more than three weeks, resulting in the deaths and injuries of many Palestinians, and massive destruction in the devastated city.
According to the statement, Zamir conducted a "field tour in the Gaza Strip today accompanied by southern region commanders Yaniv Asor, 162nd Division Sagiv Dahan, Givati Brigade, 401st Brigade, 215th Brigade, and more commanders."
We have entered the second phase of the Gideon's Chariots operation to achieve the objectives of the war.
