The Hebrew channel i24news revealed the plans of the occupying army to transfer hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to a new shelter camp before the start of the extensive military operation to control the city of Gaza. This camp will be established in the area of 'South of the Morag Axis' near Rafah, which is considered one of the largest centers in the urban sector.
According to reports, the designated area for the camp is under the control of the militia 'Yasser Abu Shabab', which is engaged in armed confrontations with elements of Hamas. This situation complicates matters further amid increasing military preparations.
The occupying army announced that it will begin supplying the residents of the sector with tents and shelter equipment starting Sunday, with the transfer of these materials through the Kerem Shalom crossing by the United Nations and international relief organizations, after subjecting them to thorough security inspections.
These developments come at a time when international concern is growing regarding the fate of 2.2 million Palestinians living in the devastated Gaza Strip, as the United Nations and Palestinian officials warned that 'there is no safe place' in Gaza, including the areas that have been requested for displacement.
Despite the warnings, talks between a Hamas delegation and mediators have not made any tangible progress, further complicating the situation. The occupation hints at the possibility of sending a negotiating delegation to Doha if Hamas shows willingness to engage in settlement negotiations.
Conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate, with reports indicating that the total number of martyrs has exceeded 61,000 since the onset of the aggression, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by Palestinians in the sector.
There is no safe place in Gaza, including the south of the sector where residents were previously asked to evacuate.
