Israeli Writer: Netanyahu's Government Has Opened the Gates of Hell on Israel
Netanyahu's government has opened the gates of hell on its people, ignored the suffering of the prisoners in Gaza, and committed catastrophic mistakes that will destroy Israel's future.
The Israeli writer Ben Caspit harshly criticized Benjamin Netanyahu's government, describing it as a "bastard government that has opened the gates of hell on its people," and accused it of being disconnected from reality and ignoring the suffering of prisoners in the Gaza Strip. He explained that the current government's priority is no longer to free the prisoners who are "dying of hunger in the tunnels," but rather to protect Netanyahu personally, as its agenda has shifted to "inciting against the Prime Minister's critics and securing his family," which the writer described as a "political and moral nightmare."
Caspit pointed out that Israeli public opinion is in a state of shock and collapse, after horrific scenes of detained prisoners were shown, including Rom Braslavski and Abitar David, who appeared as skeletons. He quoted former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot saying: "I never imagined I would see Jews dying this way without anyone rushing to save them." He described the government as a "gang lacking mercy and conscience," ignoring the tragedy of soldiers and civilians, and emptying the concept of leadership of its meaning.
He also quoted someone close to Netanyahu stating that the latter is living in a state of "paralysis and fear," which he has not shown since October 7, and that "the arrogance he felt after striking Iran has completely evaporated." He considered that Hamas has succeeded in dragging Israel into a daily war of attrition, and it seems "as if it is enjoying humiliating Israel before the world." He confirmed that Netanyahu missed opportunities for settlement early on when he succumbed to the pressures of his far-right allies, led by Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.
He emphasized that Israel is currently living in a complex crisis, from a stalled military impasse to a suffocating economic crisis, noting that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir is "chasing illusions among the ruins of Gaza." He added that "Gaza today is worse than Hiroshima and Nagasaki, yet this government continues this adventure that has opened the gates of hell on Israel."
In a related context, Israeli writer Iris Leil mentioned that Israel bears direct responsibility for the deaths of more than 60,000 Palestinians, including 18,500 children, according to international reports, most notably a report published by The Washington Post about the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). She confirmed that Israel is experiencing the most dangerous diplomatic crisis in its history, with a rising wave of international disgust, and the bridges connecting it to the free world are gradually being demolished.
A report by the Swiss newspaper Le Temps indicated that hunger in the Gaza Strip is deadly, and it is the first time that 100% of the population, numbering 2.1 million, is suffering from severe food insecurity, reaching the point of famine. It clarified that Gaza is completely besieged, with 88% of its land under evacuation orders or classified as military zones.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported in its daily report that the death toll among those waiting for aid has reached 1,516 martyrs, and more than 10,067 injured since May 27, with the toll of Israeli extermination since October 7 rising to 60,933 dead and 150,027 injured.
