American media: Biden hints at withdrawing from the 2024 presidential election race

US President Joe Biden has hinted that he knows he will not be able to save his candidacy for the US presidential elections in 2024 if he is unable to convince the public in the coming days that he is capable of doing the job after his performance in the presidential debate last week, according to the American New York Times.

“He knows that if he has two more events like that, we will be in a different place by the end of the week,” the ally told the New York Times, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive situation.

In response, White House Chief Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates, an assistant to the president, said the allegation was "completely false" and that the White House had not been given sufficient time to respond.

Another senior Biden adviser said the president is “well aware of the political challenge he faces.”
