- The extremist occupation security minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed this Sunday evening, the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the occupied city of Jerusalem, amid heavy guard.
- The storming of Ben Gvir coincided with the storming of hundreds of settlers into the neighborhood, for the purpose of celebrating the so-called Hebrew “Feast of the Torch,” which they deliberately commemorate inside and around a cave that they claim contains the grave of “Simeon the Righteous.”
- Neighborhood residents reported that since yesterday evening, Saturday, the settlers storming Sheikh Jarrah have been provoking the people, with loud songs that continued until late hours of the night.
- The neighborhood committee said that Sheikh Jarrah has witnessed a complete closure since this morning, and movement is prohibited within its streets, to facilitate the movement of colonists after they seized and bulldozed the open land in it in preparation for holding the Judaization settlement celebration.
- It explained that the residents feel extreme fear, especially since they are imprisoned inside their homes amid the presence of hundreds of occupation police officers, and are exposed to settlers’ provocations and attacks, and fear for their homes from the colonists coming to the neighborhood, especially since they carry weapons.
