Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and United Nations Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Winsland, called on Wednesday for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a press statement that, after their meeting, Lavrov and Wensland stressed “the importance of an immediate ceasefire and providing safe and unhindered access to all those affected and in need.”
It added that they "paid great attention to the possibilities of reviving the peace process and settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict after the end of the war."
