Officials in the Israeli Ministry of Justice expected, today, Thursday, that the International Court of Justice would issue a judicial order against Israel, including an independent investigation, into the lawsuit filed by South Africa accusing Tel Aviv of committing genocide in Gaza, according to Hebrew media.
The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" quoted unnamed officials as saying: "There is a very real chance that the International Court will agree to South Africa's demands and issue an injunction against Israel."
They added: "It is not expected that the International Court of Justice in The Hague will call for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip," they said.
