The official spokesman for the Jordanian army announced that seven staff members from the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza were injured at the entrance to the hospital's emergency department, while trying to treat Palestinian citizens who were injured during an Israeli bombing and were taken to the hospital.
The source said that the injuries of the crew members were between minor and stable, and their colleagues were providing the necessary care for them and a number of Palestinian brothers, according to what was reported by official media.
He added that the Jordanian army began an official investigation to find out the details of what happened, stressing Israel's responsibility to provide the necessary protection for the hospital and its staff.
He also indicated that the hospital will continue to perform its humanitarian duty.
