The Israeli occupation army and the Shin Bet claimed on Wednesday to have thwarted an attempt to smuggle a 'sophisticated' shipment of weapons from Iran to the occupied West Bank.
In a joint statement, the occupation army and the Shin Bet alleged that the seized shipment contained 'destabilizing' weapons, including anti-tank missiles and drones capable of carrying explosive devices.
According to the occupation's statement, the seized shipment included the following weapons and equipment: Anti-tank missiles: 15 missiles with an RPG launcher. Explosive devices: 29 devices. Drones: 4 drones, including 2 suicide drones. Bombs and machine guns: 20 hand grenades, 9 machine guns, and 7 assault rifles. Personal weapons: 53 pistols and 750 rounds.
Thwarting this operation prevented a serious escalation that would have occurred had these weapons reached Palestinian territories.
