The repercussions of Sheikh Khader Adnan's martyrdom between Palestinian Parkinson's and Israeli incitement

There is no doubt that what is happening today in the Gaza Strip is one of the repercussions of the martyrdom of the late Sheikh Khader Adnan, who constituted a phenomenon that must be stopped and studied, whether when studying the struggles of the captive movement in general, or administrative detention in particular. There is no doubt that the martyr Khader Adnan was a distinguished model for understanding the meaning of freedom and insisting on paying the price for it, even if it was his life. He was transparent and honest and did not maneuver or represent and knew the result he could reach, so he did not hesitate to write his will in advance before he surrendered his soul to God.


Looking back, I say that everyone, individually and collectively, was negligent towards the martyred sheikh with the same degree of negligence towards the suffering of the prisoners in general, as the overwhelming majority of us do not live the pain of the prisoners and the pain of their families. The reality of the matter is that there is a segment of people that pays the heavy price for resisting the occupation, and it is the minority, and a segment that lives its normal life as if public affairs do not concern them and it is the majority, with the realization that there is a segment that varies in color between the two segments.


A strike, i.e. a strike, whether it is an individual strike or a collective strike, must have the means of pressure on public opinion in order for public opinion to move and put pressure on the party against which the strike is taking place to force it to meet the demands of the strikers. In the case of Sheikh Adnan, we did not notice any real move by public opinion or the faction to which he belongs to support him or pressure to meet his demand.


Betting on the Israelis


Some have contented themselves with believing that Israel must understand that if something bad happens to Sheikh Adnan, there will be a violent reaction from the Islamic Jihad Movement. As if they were betting that the Israeli side did not wish to escalate, and that it would rectify the situation and release Sheikh Adnan before he was harmed. It has been proven that those who bet on the Israeli side miscalculated and did not take into account that those who are today in the decision-making position in Israel are racist extremists who wish death so that I would be captured, if not for every Palestinian, and that unlike what was happening in the previous times in which the sheikh practiced this The method of protesting and snatching his freedom while he was in his last breath, they will not release him.


As for after the sheikh was martyred, we were faced with two options, either to use his case and his testimony while he was practicing the highest form of peaceful resistance by going on a hunger strike, to launch a large-scale local and international campaign against the administrative detentions, which Shmuel Tamir, Minister of Justice in the first government formed by Menachem Begin in 1977, described as A model for the Nazi laws, and exposing the brutality of the occupation that abolished the application of these laws inside Israel and kept them in the occupied territories, and demanded their abolition, or an emotional response and response to the expectations of the street.


Unfortunately, the Islamic Jihad Movement found itself facing a high ceiling of public expectations and was forced not to disappoint these expectations, so it launched barrages of missiles towards Israel to "revenge" the martyr sheikh. Although these bursts did not cause harm in Israel or injuries to lives, they constituted a lifeboat for Netanyahu, whose government was suffering from a real crisis resulting from the growing popular protest movement against the legal changes it intends to make, and from the ban on Ben Jubeir and his Otzmeh Yehudit party from the government sessions. And about the vote in the Knesset, and its decline by about seven seats in world opinion polls due to its poor performance, it initiated the assassination of three leaders of the Islamic Jihad and thus tickled the emotions of the extremists, so Ben Jubeir returned to the fold and Netanyahu’s shares rose again, and he began to brag about restoring the Israeli deterrence force against the Palestinians.

Getting into a vicious circle


The Jihad movement retaliated in retaliation for the martyr Adnan and for the killing of its leaders, and it entered with Israel into a vicious circle of action and reaction. As time passed, Israel's achievements eroded and the crisis of its population worsened as a result of the paralysis imposed on it by the missile attacks. Israel became in a dilemma from which only reckless escalation could get it out. The most likely option, or to respond to reason and logic and rein in its extremists, which is the least likely.


As for the jihad, it proved its ability to withstand and absorb blows, and the chances of the possibility of expanding the circle of conflict and joining other parties to it increased, especially in response to any foolishness that Israel could commit in order to hasten to impose a cease-fire on the jihad.


There is no doubt that we are standing in these hours at the most dangerous crossroads, either a cease-fire and an Israeli commitment to prevent any provocations on the day of the media march next Thursday, or an escalation that opens its doors to all possibilities.

This is the seventeenth time that we have watched this movie, and it is the seventeenth, if not the millionth, evidence that Israeli leaders do the same work, expect different results, and are surprised by their stupidity, according to Einstein. The bombing of the Gaza Strip or even its occupation will not bring security to the Israelis, as it may achieve some calm for a while, but soon a new round of fighting will follow as long as the occupation still exists and as long as there are right-wing elements in Israel seeking to perpetuate the occupation and settlement and persist in their attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Christian sanctities and Islamic.


The picture is bleak on both sides. On the Palestinian side, the simplest thing to say about the matter is that it is "a bowl and a waste", or that we live in "the neighborhood of everyone whose hand is a god."


Palestinian Parkinson's... "a bowl and a waste"


There is no single leadership for the Palestinian people. Rather, the Palestinian body politic is afflicted with Parkinson's disease and every member vibrates and works on its own. The absence of a unified leadership and a body that is in harmony with itself and disciplined in its movements leads to the absence of a national strategy and unified action, which makes each member capable of confusing or harming other members or exposing them to unaccounted risks without having a trick or an opinion.


On the Israeli side, there is a government that is under the control of a person who has his own personal program to escape the grip of the judiciary, and it is hostage to the extreme right and is subject to blackmail on its part and lacks the ability to take any political initiative that takes it out of the cycle of action and reaction.


If we assume that Israel will succeed in assassinating a number of resistance leaders, killing tens or perhaps hundreds of unarmed Palestinian citizens, and destroying tens or even hundreds of homes, it will not be able to break the will of the Palestinian people.


Reaching any cease-fire agreement, if not within the framework of a political initiative to end the occupation, will be just a temporary halt, after which things will explode again, more violently than before.


The only way out of this cycle is Israel's admission of its failure to end the conflict by force, and to undertake a political initiative based on recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and self-determination, and to engage with them in a political process to end the occupation through a neutral international mechanism that recognizes their rights and believes that peace can only be achieved through equality and justice. And the realization of the inalienable or bargaining rights of the Palestinian people. Without that we will still get out of a round to stop and wait for the next round.
