3 Dead and Intensive Occupation Raids on Gaza Amid Continued Truce Violations

The death toll from the continuous violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip rose to three martyrs on Thursday, including a released prisoner who had been deported, amid a field escalation that included airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting various areas of the Strip.

Local sources reported the martyrdom of young Bahaa Mohammed Al-Fajm by occupation forces' bullets in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis. Rami Ibrahim Abu Qarshin also died from injuries he sustained months ago in a previous bombing of the city. In a significant development, released prisoner Basel Al-Haimouni, who was deported from Hebron to Gaza as part of the "Wafaa Al-Ahrar" deal in 2011, was mourned today after succumbing to injuries from a bombing that targeted him yesterday, Wednesday.

On the ground, occupation forces continued their violations, carrying out demolition operations of citizens' homes east of Gaza City concurrently with artillery shelling, while aircraft launched raids on eastern Deir al-Balah, and helicopter gunships opened fire east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central region.

In the southern part of the Strip, warships heavily opened fire towards the coasts of Khan Yunis and Rafah, while aircraft launched an airstrike east of Khan Yunis, amidst ongoing military movements targeting civilians and facilities.

These developments come after a bloody day in which 24 citizens were martyred, including 8 children. According to official statistics, the number of victims of the occupation's violations of the ceasefire agreement reached 576 martyrs, including 179 children and 69 women, and 1526 injured. Meanwhile, the total death toll from the ongoing genocide war since October 7, 2023, has risen to more than 71,803 martyrs and over 171,570 injured, in addition to the destruction of 90% of the Strip's infrastructure.

The targeting of Al-Haimouni represents a new crime that reflects the occupation's insistence on pursuing released prisoners even after their deportation.
