Hamas claims Tel Aviv attacker as its member

Hamas claimed Abed al-Wahab Khalaila, who carried out the ramming and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv on Tuesday that wounded seven Israelis, as a member of its group. 

Hamas Khalaila, a resident of the town of As Samu, south of Hebron, was described by Hamas as "heroic."

The Islamic movement described the actions as "legitimate self-defense against the ongoing Zionist massacre in Jenin, and the crimes of displacement, killing and destruction committed by the occupation forces."
