French Cup: Nantes complete their title defense by reaching the final

Nantes successfully continued its campaign to defend its title in the French Football Cup competition, by reaching the final match after defeating Lyon 1-0 on Wednesday in the semi-finals.
Ludovic Blah imposed himself as the star of the match by scoring the qualifying goal in the 57th minute.
The "Canary" team hopes to retain its title for the second year in a row, after previously achieving this achievement in 1999 and 2000 by defeating Sedan and Calais, respectively.
Nantes got a dose of confidence, as it suffers in the league, as it occupies the fourteenth place, only 4 points ahead of the first relegated.
Nantes will face in the final on April 29, the winner of the other semi-final between Annecy of the second division and Toulouse on Thursday.
On the other hand, Lyon suffered great disappointment, as it lost its last hopes for a European seat for the next season, for the second year in a row, as it ranks ninth in the league, 8 points behind the fifth-placed player who qualifies for European competition.
