Awwad: Positive indicators of the regularity of the educational process, beginning next week

The Director General of Measurement, Evaluation and Examinations at the Ministry of Education, Muhammad Awwad, confirmed that there are positive indications of the regularity of the educational process in public schools, beginning next week.

Awwad said in a radio interview that there are unremitting efforts being made by civil society institutions, national forces and factions, and the political level, and we hope that they will be crowned with success in ending this crisis, which has reached its 40th day.

He pointed out that a meeting will be held next Sunday to discuss the subject required for the general secondary exams, in a way that achieves justice and equal opportunities for all students in all governorates.

Awwad added, "The general secondary exams are very important for university admission, and there is a fixed schedule that cannot be bypassed regarding the academic year. Local universities may be pressured if the exams are postponed, but what guarantees Arab and international universities?"

Awwad dispelled fears of the threat of not continuing the school year, stressing that there is still ample time to ensure the end of the school year as required and hoped for.
