Tehran (dpa) - Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi discussed with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, the growing relations between the two countries.
Raisi stressed that the many and intensive diplomatic consultations and meetings between Iranian and Qatari officials in recent months "have a positive impact on the pace of implementation of agreements between the two countries," according to what was reported by the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency (IRNA) today, Monday.
The Emir of Qatar also expressed his satisfaction and happiness at the pace of growing relations between the two countries and the implementation of bilateral agreements.
Last week, Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman visited Tehran.
The visit came after Doha hosted negotiations on the Iranian nuclear file at the end of June.
The United States announced that the talks had ended without any progress being made.
