Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - Well-informed Palestinian sources denied, on Monday afternoon, rumors about the existence of a presidential decision to appoint former Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah as Secretary General of the Palestinian Presidency, to succeed the late Tayeb Abdel Rahim.
The sources told Al-Quds.com that no decision has been issued regarding the appointment of any person in this position until now.
Hamdallah's participation, representing President Mahmoud Abbas , in the funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, raised speculation about the possibility of him assuming the position.
