France demands that Israel respect Syria's sovereignty following the aggression in Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside.

On Sunday, France urged Israel to respect Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, following its aggression against the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside, which resulted in 13 deaths and dozens of injuries.

This was stated in a post on the American platform "X" by the French chargé d'affaires in Syria, Jean Faver.

Faver said that France "affirms the importance of preserving the unity of Syria, its sovereignty, and its stability in accordance with international law and the disengagement agreement (signed between the two sides in 1974)."

He called on "Israel to respect Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity," expressing his country's concern "over reports indicating civilian casualties during the Israeli military operations in the town of Beit Jinn."

He also urged "all countries in the region to engage in ongoing efforts to enable Syria to become a center of peace, security, and stability for the benefit of the Syrian people and the entire region."

On Friday morning, an Israeli patrol infiltrated the town of Beit Jinn, leading to an armed clash with the locals, resulting in the injury of 6 Israeli soldiers, including 3 officers.

Following that, Tel Aviv committed a massacre in retaliation against the townspeople who tried to defend their land, through an air assault that resulted in the deaths of 13 people, including women and children, and injured about 25 others.

Although the Syrian government has not posed any threat to Tel Aviv, the Israeli army repeatedly infiltrates various areas of the Arab country and conducts airstrikes that have killed civilians and destroyed military sites, vehicles, weapons, and ammunition belonging to the army.

The town of Beit Jinn is located on the slopes of "Mount Sheikh," and is only about 10 kilometers from the border separating it from the occupied Golan Heights and Israel.

Repeatedly, this town has been subjected to various Israeli military assaults in recent months, including air and artillery bombardments and temporary ground incursions.
